A very small portion of an immense electric train collection belonging to a neighbor. More challenging to capture than I had anticipated.
...at Broadway Station. Our favourite photo from our day out on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, it really captures the atmosphere; the smartly uniformed volunteers obviously enjoy the experience as much as the passengers!

On a freezing, foggy morning, the first train of the day, the 05.34 from Wolsztyn to Leszno gets away from the rural Wloszakowice station. Class OL49, No 59 was doing the honours.

Light rail line from Phoenix to Tempe.
In another year and a half Tucson will have its own light rail .. well the frist 4 miles...
RZD EP1M-696 stands at Saratov 1 station, the main station in Saratov, with a train waiting to depart southbound. This was the only EP1M I saw in Saratov, with the earlier EP1 being the mainstay here.
The loco above is based at TChE-8 Kavkazskaya and falls under the North Caucasus Railway branch of RZD.
After HMVYs round trip from Seinäjoki to Kaskinen ( www.flickr.com/photos/artdvu/32260338838/ ) . Train is returning empty back to Haapamäki.
The Dartmouth steam railway runs 'the train of lights' every year as there Santa specials.
previous years have featured one steam and one diesel locomotive but this year its running with two steam locomotives.
in this shot 75014 'Braveheart' leads the train along the banks of the river Dart with 'Omaha' on the rear.
I found this little train in a box with old toys. I think it was inside a Kinder Surprise egg. :)
This picture kind of sums up my style of photography: mirror, low DoF, negative space and black background (with low key). Check my photostream and you'll see what I mean. ;)

Here is one of my first pictures with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90. And a first "incident" on film (on the right top corner). I don't know what happened, maybe a little drop of rain, but I love that anomaly and my new camera!
I am posting as many Autumn shots as I can since we no longer have any leaves and snow is in the forecast. Hope you enjoy them!
Het Oostenrijkse DPB Rail infra service GMBH is dit jaar flink gegroeid. Het bedrijf heeft sinds 2021 Taurus 1216 940 in dienst maar sinds het voorjaar van 2024 heeft het bedrijf ook Vectrons van Siemens. In Maart kwamen de 1293 903 t/m 905 in dienst voor DPB, sindsdien zijn daar de 193 508 en 193 438 bijgekomen.
Deze laatstgenoemde loc was op 29 Juli onderweg met een keteltrein langs de Rhein. De trein is uit de Rotterdamse Botlek onderweg richting Oostenrijk en kon bij de passage van station Bad Honnef worden vastgelegd. Links in schloss Drachenburg te zien.

After hearing that 4145 would be leading this afternoons 852, I got ready to leave to shoot it, however it seemed the weather decided to have a massive thunderstorm and some tornado like weather, causing severe alerts and backing interstate traffic up bad. I thought my chances of catching 4145 were as good as none.
However, 4145 was also not having a great time. Due to either the massive storms ahead, or a signaling issue (or both) the train was stopped outside of Riverdale for 20-30 minutes, allowing the storm to pass and giving me time to get trackside.
The product is a not half bad shot of P852 on the Thomas Viaduct.
Not sure what train or transfer this might have been, but this solid set of WC SD45s was working Norfolk Southern's Colehour Yard in Hammond, IN on 13 May 2001, a few months before the CN acquisition was completed in October.
6603 was reportedly the former ATSF 5332.
This is my only shot of WC power doing something other than sitting around.
