Virgin Trains Class 221 Super Voyager 221118 approaches Cosford with the 14:09 5J68 Wolverhampton to Shrewsbury ecs.
After several days in Tokyo, I packed my bags and took the Shiosai Limited Express train to Choshi, in Chiba Prefecture.
Choshi is on the coast, and besides being famous for fish and soy sauce, is also famous for the Choshi Electric Railway (銚子電気鉄道線).
As the rain keeps pouring, train 31 departs Inuboh station.

Another rainy day today. These cars have been sitting on the tracks for a while and I've been itching to get a photo of them, and was finally able to :)
Train ACE 06, led by Altamont Corridor Express (ACEX) 3313, was passing the California Central Model Railroad Club (CCMRC) in the historic Agnew depot in Santa Clara, CA, at 4:50 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. ACEX 3114 was shoving on the rear.
Reportedly: ACEX 3313 is a Bombardier BiLevel IX cab car from the series 3310–3314.
I like the graphic quality of this one... lucky shot too, just 1 chance to get it right...

You can just see the train crossing this viaduct. I only had one shot at this, not bad but a little flare which I think enhances the picture
Santa Maria Valley Railroad 2-8-2 No. 100 found employment working for the Wasatch Mountain Railway in Utah between 1976 and 1985. Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in June 1926, it served the Charles E. McCormic Lumber Company, later sold to the Pope & Talbot Lumber Company and the Santa Maria Valley Railroad. WMRY 100 is pictured climbing the grade from the Provo River crossing up to Casperville Road near Charleston, Utah on Sept. 6, 1976.
Train to nowhere
We ride on the trains of tomorrow, chasing ghosts of what was never there. The gentle murmur of the tracks drifts beneath us, bringing dreams to a distant edge where time mixes into space, past melting into the future and the future soaking up from memory. Fleeting glimpses of a world forgotten, yet to be rediscovered through the window. We are not looking for the lost but for what should have been, pushed along the lines of hope, always just a bit beyond our grasp. The highway stretches into forever, the arrival a reverie...

as the evening draws in and the light begins to fade 7812 erlestoke manor brings a 17 wagon freight over victoria bridge towards arley----it was a still quiet evening and the sound of the train leaving bewdley was clearly audible almost all the way , including the occasional distant whistle --pure steam magic
The Foxfield Railway steam gala was blessed with sunny weather today and a good time was had by all. I had the great pleasure of meeting with midcheshireman and his wife and I am quite sure that they have very similar images to this one of the Dubs crane tank and Bagnall 0-6-0 saddle tank "Florence No 2" blasting up the 1 in 19 gradient out of Foxfield Colliery yard.

Train peel effect done in Gimp using several effects and layer mods. I used my newest plugin, AV Bros Page Curl Pro 2.2 plugin and I love the effect.
