The Buddhist Culture Museum documents, collects, preserves and researches on Asian Buddhist artifacts, endeavouring to impart Dharma and promote Buddhist Culture by cultivating awareness and appreciation of Buddhist arts and culture.

There are currently approximately 300 pieces of Buddhist artifacts and works of art under the collection of Buddhist Culture Museum, mostly from Asian countries, such as Gandhara of Pakistan, China, Korea, Myanmar, Thailand, etc. Part of the collection are donations from generous collectors.

Buddhist art first emerged in India after the Buddha’s Parinirvana. With the introduction and spreading of Buddhism to other Asian countries, Buddhist art artifacts also began to appear in China, Korea, Tibet, Sri Lanka, Southeast Asia and many other countries.

I found this the other day in a box of things I had forgotten about. Those are all my baby teeth. I keep them around, not to remember how my parents lied to me, but to remember how they loved me enough to keep my imagination alive. It's a shame I found this jar at such a young age (I think I was like five). I miss believing in magic.

This morning, already running late for school, I remembered that Dave and I had talked about trying to pull Audrey's dangling lower front tooth. Today they had a field trip to the symphony, and I shuddered to imagine the drama that would ensue if the tooth came out in the middle of all that.

So, I asked if I could give it a try, and with the slightest of tugs--out it came. I high-fived my daughter, popped the tooth into the tooth necklace thingy for safekeeping, helped her rinse her mouth, then scooted us out the door to school.

So, another visit from the Tooth Fairy tonight! :-)

as is quickly becoming tradition in our house, odin put his "milk tooth" in a special little box for safe keeping until being tucked under his pillow.

we're all amazed the tooth fairy has, so far at least, been able to remove the box and place a gift inside without waking odin from his sleepy slumber.
