This is my eldest son Joe, who's 6 and a half. Words can't express how proud I am of this kid, he's so clever and such a sweet lad.
He suffers from selective mutism, which means that in certain circumstances he can't/doesn't speak. This mostly affects him at school where he never speaks unless me or his mum are around. It's a weird condition, especially when you consider that Joe is the most eloquent child I've ever known - we've been able to have full blown conversations with him from a very early age and his speech and reading is pretty amazing. I can't even spell swear words anymore without being told off by him!
As you can see he's a good lookin' little chap (takes after his mum o'course) and the reason he looks like he's trying to eat his own fingers is because he's got his first wobbly tooth! So I thought I'd mark this auspicious occasion with a photo.
I cleaned the picture up a bit in Photoshop to remove imperfections in the wall behind Joe - the inspiration for the composition of the shot comes from Disco~Stu and his clever use of negative space - I always enjoy his photos that use this technique.
This is lit from the left hand side by Joe's reading lamp and I used the (much hated) flash, despite the use of the (much hated) flash I the shot came out really well!
Awww, now I wanna go wake the boy up and play football with him . . .

We went to the newly opened mexican restaurant in town. In the middle of dinner, my dughter suddenly shouts, "Hey, Mom, my tooth fell out!" We searched for it; I thought maybe she had swallowed it, but no, there it was, on the floor. So, I whipped out my camera and took a shot.

There is no reason to assume that the dentist will certainly advise tooth extraction to you when you visit them, no matter what. There are specific reasons why a tooth might need to be extracted.

Livvy lost her tooth Christmas Eve! This little pillow is about 7 x 10", small enough to put under the bedpillow. It has a ribbon for hanging on a door or bedpost and a tab to tuck away the ribbon. The pocket holds the tooth and the loot.

It happened in 2006 July, week after I went back to work in Helsinki as a McDonalds lobby worker.
It was pretty painful, I mean the tooth, and face was swollen etc, I had 2-3 cataflams per day. I couldnt eat or speak normally, so in the end health care took me seriously, and removed the tooth one nice morning. I was glad! I think I still have the tooth somewhere in my drawer, because I planned to build it into one of my crappy art works.

The flipper is made from acrylic but can also be fabricated in a flexible material by request for a small additional up-charge. A flipper can also be made if you are missing two teeth as well, after that a partial denture would be more suitable. Turn around time for this product is 3-4 wks.

Looking at the underside of the fungi on this fallen log, you can see their amazing purple color as well as the fact that they have small "teeth" rather than linear gills. From what little I can see of the bark, this tree doesn't look like a conifer, so my guess would be Trichaptum biforme, sometimes know as the purple tooth fungus.
