Audrey lost her first tooth last Friday, March 18th, at her Mema and Papa's house.

Luckily, Dave and I were driving in to join them that evening, so we quickly finished up the Tooth Fairy pillow I had been making (Audrey put in the stuffing), put the tooth in the pillow's little pocket, and sent her to bed to dream of toothy rewards.

I bought a cheap toothbrush, yanked the bristles out and poked in the tips of a whole lot of toothpicks.

I like the slightly surreal, slightly uneasy feeling it produces. And there's the hard vs soft tension. It might make a good Halloween guest bathroom prop, perhaps with a touch of fake blood :-)
