He broke it off from the roots first and then extracted those after. One of the three roots fractured inside my jaw as well so that required extra digging to remove.
The tooth got infected quite seriously to the point I was yacking and squirting and it was just heaps of grossness for days. Felt like the most awful food poisoning imaginable. Then my face got all swollen and the tooth was completely screwed so it's gone now.
It's a shitty 1st gen iPhone shot that I was still shakey while taking so I just unsharp masked the hell out of it. Yum.

I figure this tooth started out in a horse's mouth. I think my brother found it in a river in SC. It's a little straighter than most horse teeth and I should get it identified by someone other than a flea market hack. (One of those dudes said it was a North American Camel's tooth - from what I can tell Camelops didn't live on this half of the country.)
