Recently I Got a chance to take advantage of a friends office on the 12th floor. (thank you Chris). The office is located near the Irvine spectrum.
I can not say enough about the Tokina 11-1. After renting it a few times, I realized I could not live without it. If you are a 7d owner (or any APS- Canon)
I highly recommend this glass.
Important note: Make sure the room is dark and the door is closed when shooting from inside a building. Most of large buildings in OC have tinted windows, the reflections are crazy when the sun goes down. You have to even turn off any computer monitors and cover any phones that might be flashing with messages. Anything and every thing will reflect in the window.

A timelapse video of my approach to solving crossword puzzles. I start with the first word I can enter and expand from there, rather than doing all the across or down clues first.
One frame per letter shot on my Canon 40D and processed in Lightroom and Premiere.

Is this the world's most boring timelapse? The "sunrise" outside my bedroom window on a cloudy, mild day.

A timelapse shot and produced on my iphone 5. The frames were captured over a 4.5 hour period at an interval of 10 seconds per frame, using Lapse it pro. The video is rendered at 28fps and then exported to IMovie (iphone) for the credit screen and soundtrack to be added.

40 years in 4 minutes, that's one heck of a timelapse! From my birth to the present time, 4 decades lived in "fast and furious" mode, across all continents...

When I started this series, I was thinking startrails. It didn't occur to me it might be better as a time-lapse because of all the clouds moving through. In retrospect, I wish I had let it go longer - this is only about 45 minutes worth - but I had promised my sweetie I'd be home before midnight :-)
It really has a lot going on - the cloud layer tumbles and churns, airplanes dive into the cloud layer, the telescopes at both ends rotate, and the high clouds whoosh by the stars. Actually takes several views before you see everything going on. Play it HD full-screen (the 4 arrows in the lower right corner). Music by David Wurst.

While in Tahoe, my friends and I thought it would be a great idea to put together a simple time lapse video with the D300 that pays homage to this video that some fans made of Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger."
Only instead of true robot heads, we used beer boxes. We're a resourceful bunch. Really, what else do you do when snowed in?
