A view of platform 1 at Doncaster station at 1327 hrs on Tuesday 12 July 2022. A Class 802 set of Hull Trains is ready to depart. This train was 1A94, the Hull (1233hrs) to London Kings Cross service. On a rather grey day in Doncaster this was definitely the most gloomy of the station platforms, but inevitably provided the most atmospheric images.
For an alternative angle on railway photography, why not take a look at the Phoenix website:
This is my playground: The northernmost section of the Black Hills. Photographed at 6,647 ft, you can see many lush hilltops including the dominant Crow Peak far off on right side just before the evergreens taper off into plains. What you don't see in the photo are the numerous ghost towns, abandoned mining camps, hidden fishing ponds, caves, secret camping spots, and endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. Its crazy to think of all of the life events, even just for me, that have taken place within the parameters of this frame. I know, I know, sometimes I think too much. But hey, when you sit in the dark shooting nights of startrails as everyone else sleeps quietly below, its pretty easy to get lost in space and time.

He said to give it time but time was bending and shifting and now blurring. He hadn’t bought new glasses in ages. His lips were dry and he was looking at a figure but the figure was a faded memory long past.
“I wish I could go back,” he said, laying in bed. His breathing was restless and he kicked his legs trying to remind his body he could run if needed. He watched the ceiling now as if it was a music concert but everything was quiet.
Some more shots of Tulips at the beginning of Spring from Dyrham Park. I look forward to creating our own Tulip display in 2020!

Recorded during a brief lunch time session at Washwood Heath back in 1987, BR 31168 passes with a typical engineers' train of that era comprising ZHV spoil [former 16T mineral] wagons, ZBO 'Grampus' and a ZTO brake van at the rear.

Finally got some Paula time again after way too long. I can't believe how good it felt and how much I'd missed it. Sorry for the dodgy photo quality but just had to do these on my phone and its not the best!
Thought I'd include the Christmas tree for a bit of extra cheer! Merry Christmas everybody 😊
