Yet another...

This time some blue...with a little flower..

You think that something has happened, will happen or is supposed to happen. The time flows as water no matter what.

Part of the sPHENIX detector, the Time Projection Chamber allows nuclear physicists to measure the momentum of charged particles streaming from collisions produced in Brookhaven Lab's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). sPHENIX is a radical makeover of the PHENIX experiment, one of the original detectors designed to collect data at RHIC. It includes many new components that significantly enhance scientists’ ability to learn about quark-gluon plasma (QGP), an exotic form of nuclear matter created in RHIC’s energetic particle smashups.

The Pirate 'island' is based off of the Black Seas Barracuda set. The basic design is inspired by the UCS Flagship, but longer and with two gun decks.

This is my favorite place in the Trinity Alps .... maybe in all the world .... Time seems to journey slower here ... and thankfully the lake is semi-protected .......... a challenging ten hours or so hike from the nearest road ..... a very steep, over-grown trail ..... all combine .... often assure complete solitude. (Except for deer, chipmunks, birds and the like. They're always about.)

"The wings of Time are black and white,

Pied with morning and with night ...

And all that Nature made thy own,

Floating in air or pent in stone,

Will rive the hills and swim the sea,

And, like thy shadow, follow thee."

--Ralph Waldo Emerson

It's been one of those weeks. And it's not even over. My closest friend here is going through unmeasurable hurt that I can't fix. Noone can. I'm going through my thing. Life goes through IT"S thing, and amongst the many trips to the store; the laundromat; the drycleaner; the doctor; the park; peppered with arguments with the teacher... my daughter asked me to make her an apple pie.

One thing I did not hesitate to indulge her with.

SImple. Rustic. And just as it is. What we all need right now.

Project Time Storm

Log Author Dr Xavier Storm

Date Stamp 2157.09.18 23:27 FPT

The Time Storm project is finally operational. For the past three years I have worked with my trusted assistant Robot XF137 to develop a functioning time portal capable of accessing the distant past.

At 0700 hours the power capacitors were charged and the portal activated. I left my assistant to program the time coordinates whilst I changed into something more appropriate.

Unfortunately upon passing through the portal, not only did I discover that I had not arrived in the jungle as intended, I also discovered that the original occupant of the tomb that I had in fact arrived in was not best pleased to see me.

After spending precisely 3.45 seconds in the past, I leapt back through the portal and crash landed into my assistant who was about to follow me through the portal.

Tomorrow I think I’d better program the time coordinates myself …

My sister explained that since newborns shouldn't be allowed to sleep face down, they need to be given the opportunity to exercise the "crawl muscules." So Leia gets a good deal of "Tummy Time" every day -- and she loves every minute of it.

I visited my local orchard today. I am fortunate to live near a very good orchard, where they have an ample supply of apples, different kinds of squash, and pumpkins.

An officer of the Specialist Search Unit of Greater Manchester Police’s Tactical Aid Unit conducts a security search of one of the harder to reach areas of the Manchester Central Convention Centre prior to a major political conference.

The unit, which is equipped with a wide range of specialist equipment, can provide officers to plan and conduct searches and other tasks in hazardous environments. These may range from areas considered dangerous due to height such as radio masts, crags, tall buildings or close to any unprotected edge. They can also advise on access into confined areas, whether a flooded cellar, silo, pit, culvert or other location that would present significant danger to other officers.

Officers of the unit also coordinate searches of major crime scenes and large scale searches for missing persons amongst a wide range of other duties.

Lying silently on a shelf in my 'museum', a selection of the vintage street lighting time-switches that I have saved over the years. Most are electric, a few of them are clockwork, but nearly all of them still work, bearing testiment to the quality of their manufacture.

There were two sapsuckers busily ferrying carpenter ants to their nest cavity. I don't know how many chicks they were feeding, but they both made multiple trips. The adults barely fit into the hole in the tree, and were very cautious when they came back out. At one point they were both at the nest at the same time, one inside and the other out, urging the inside one to get out of the way; it must have been pretty cramped in there.

My first attempt at pastiche. I merged 10 photographs to make it and used around 8 different textures.

I was thinking about this kind of shot for a very long time. Finally I gathered some strength and took a ride :)

When it feels as if the world has stopped, other people feel like it’s moving so quickly.

Time is relative. When you are impatient, time goes by agonizingly slow, and when you are enjoying your time, it goes by fast as lighting. In a flash it’s over.

Time is unorganized and messy. Who’s to say that time really exists? Why did we all of a sudden decided to abide by the rules of time that were created?

People are in fear of wasting time. Losing time. Missing out. The time of a life, can be either short, or long depending on how you live it.

The girls were getting wild so they were put in time-out. I remember how these brief periods of time seemed like an eternity.
