This picture is from my NYC trip back in September and I've only just got around to editing it now. It is obviously, Time Square, taken at 8pm on a rather mild evening in the big apple. It is two images blending together with further colour and perspective, I also cloned a few aspects out to make the image a bit nicer.
I have hardly taken any new shots since 2010 but I have two trips planned; Ireland and Italy and so there will definitely be more shot, eventually.
inspired by my new favorite cartoon, Adventure Time!
we have our heroes: Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum, and Lady Rainicorn.
After whacking the poor fish against the tree many times to kill it, this female anhinga attempted to swallow the large catfish. A green heron and softshell turtle were close by hoping for a free meal... winner was the turtle!
Time travelling in my Tardis to a time before computers and cell phones, and digital photography. This is a room in the baker's house in the Burnaby Heritage Village. It's kind of scary when you visit a museum and you remember everything in the exhibits.
Who you was and who you would be next? The jiff where past and future. Is it possible to intersect for them?
Today (May 31) Hijikata Toshizō would have turned 180 years.
I just couldn't resist to have two of this gorgeous boy! O:-) And now I'm actually thinking what to do with the second, lol But this is basically how this picture was born. ;)
Perron Tower reads 8:45, probably the best sunset of the year. Rich, vibrant and luminescent colour well after sunset.

Went to see the rocket (launched from Wallops) but the clouds were too thick. The sunrise was beautiful though!
Annapurna Circuit - Trek Day 6
Annapurna II provides the backdrop for this final view of Upper Pisang Village as we begin the day's journey toward Manang. Upper Pisang was perhaps the most interesting stop on the Annapurna Circuit. It felt like I had gone back hundreds of years in time. The buildings were made of stones stacked upon one another, with no signs of mortar holding them together. Logs with steps cut into them provided access from one level to another. In a dark room with a fire-pit in the middle and a soot-stained ceiling, a woman who looked as though she was 100 years old turned water and flour into chapatis. Then she made a tasty vegetable curry while we sat on the floor and ate, encircling her in awe. This illuminating experience was our reward for taking the more difficult and less-traveled route between Lower Pisang and Manang. Those who take the easy route along the river miss not only the spectacular views, but a real glimpse into Nepal's past as well.
