TED: "It seems I bin gettin' a bit niffy lately, so out came the Febreze today. I kicked off me kecks, screwed up me eyes an' let 'er indoors do 'er worst. She doused me wiv the smelly stuff an' then shoved me on the airer to dry! Akchully I don't mind 'angin' around like this, it'll only be fer a few 'ours an' I'll smell all luvly an' fresh afterwards."
never be stressed, always be quiet and take time to see every entity around you; To see, to look, to consider, to admire.
Day 13/31 October Challenge
It's been a busy, hard working but a very productive day.
Now time to settle down with coffee, few good images and 'Strictly' of course.
My camera and I haven't been too close this last week or so. She wants to head out and hit the trails, and I have to keep denying the chance in favor of, well, those various reasons that always seem to get in the way of doing the things we want to do.
Instead, today, when I'm feeling every one of the years I've seen fly by, I decided to dig into the archives and find a moment when the only thing that mattered was the complete cessation of time. When the day kissed the night and everything stood still.

This shot almost didn't happen. After the last shot I uploaded, I walked down to the Esplanade area to shoot directly toward the sunset in Cambridge. I had planned to quit after that, but when I looked back I saw the lights on the John Hancock were visible, so I hustled back to the bridge to shoot this scene.
This is NOT HDR or any other multiple exposure image. I also did not use any filters. This is nearly straight out of camera (I did adjust the white balance slightly). There is a window of time that is very fleeting in the evening when everything balances out perfectly. In this shot both the lights of the buildings and the warm dusk light are visible.

Take Aim Challenge - "Shades of Cool"
We've had our biggest snowfall for some years - it's been great !
As I walked away from the abandoned Taylor's Chapel Methodist Church, I noticed how plain the exterior is, but thought about how amazing it is that the inside contains so many clues about its past. Built in 1847, the rural Fayette County, Tennessee church isn't that easy to find, and I hope that remains in its favor. For those thinking about visiting, please take only pictures and leave this 160-year-old time capsule in peace. (See previous posts.)
Kids playing while the vehicle for next Kumari, the living goddess in a little girl, is being prepared.
Just a random portrait of a man on the ghats of Varanasi, why time traveller? Because he still had the strength and moves of a young man while working.
More images from my macro day at Millers Wood.

He said to give it time but time was bending and shifting and now blurring. He hadn’t bought new glasses in ages. His lips were dry and he was looking at a figure but the figure was a faded memory long past.
“I wish I could go back,” he said, laying in bed. His breathing was restless and he kicked his legs trying to remind his body he could run if needed. He watched the ceiling now as if it was a music concert but everything was quiet.
Some more shots of Tulips at the beginning of Spring from Dyrham Park. I look forward to creating our own Tulip display in 2020!
For the Macro Mondays project.
