From straight on you could look straight through this old barn. It was odd; I couldn't figure out why it would be this way, with some of the siding removed. Maybe the owners were removing the siding to sell it as "weathered barn wood," but I don't know.
I've been trying to take a picture of this barn for a long time, one way or another, but nothing ever really worked before. It's just something I pass on the way back from one of my 12-step meetings. (I've never asked for permission to go onto the property, something I've been meaning to try.) A lot of failures went before this shot.

The time element of this photograph is the 200-second exposure, but what's interesting is the shadows across the water from the trees behind me. The shadows appear as they were a window into another landscape. Some say, you can't see the forest for the trees, but what if you can see the forest through the water?...
There's much one could say about this photograph. This is another which the more you look, the more you see.

6495: Time Tunnelator
A complete redesign from the old revamp I made years ago.
I had the idea of a flying alarm clock in my mind, so I went with it. A lot of inspiration came from wacky races too with this one.
"Layers of Time:" It amazes me how many years it must have taken to form the Grand Canyon and how many layers of time are comprised in its depths of rock. In this image, you can also see the layers of silhouettes that culminate at the top as they are infused with both showers and diffused sunlight.
As I wandered about the Civil War encampment, I searched out people that actually looked like they had come from another era. There were many people in period uniform and attire. But every now and again I would encounter someone who really pulled it off, someone who looked like a time traveller. These faces jumped right out at me, even from great distances. I'm sure none of these people recognized that they possessed the look, or even why I had singled them out. I would offer a brief explanation. But trying to sum up one's passion for a particular subject in a couple of quick sentences generally falls short. I think more often than not my explanations sounded more like incoherent babbling. One thing I have learned in photography is that when I see something, the goal is to capture it while I'm in the moment. Everything else can wait. Anyway these became the basis for some very convincing portraits.
Connecting Los Angeles to Las Vegas ... in healthy way.
California has set to begin the high speed bullet train construction with projection for completion in 2027, in time for the Olympic games in 2028. About just more than one hour to bring people from Southern Calif to Las Vegas which will mean working in Vegas and living in Calif, or seeing all great events in Vegas and rushing back to Calif for beach time and Disneyland. :)
Not just that, the main benefit is to cut down CO2 emission and speed up the global warming fight. Hooray! Quite late as this project should have started in the 90s when the real estates then were more dirt cheap, it's still about time. And so, this project is a very welcome news to me, and for sure to tons of Southern Californians too. :)

Here is a look at the last time the MBTA's plow train ran and the only time I've ever photographed these classics.
The third Nor'Easter in a week dumped 18 inches of fresh snow on the Boston area in mid-March 2018. This misfortune for the citizens of the Commonwealth provided some good fortune to those of us of the rail persuasion in the form of a Keolis plow extra operating on the MBTA northside routes.
A pair of rebuilt original ex Boston and Maine double track Russell snowplows dating from 1949 are on home rails here bracketing a GATX GP38-2 as they work westbound on Keolis/MBTA’s former B&M Fitchburg Route mainline at MP 31.5 approaching the King Street crossing. They are passing the circa 1870 Fitchburg Railroad passenger station that now serves as an antique shop with the MBTA commuter trains calling at a modern station about a mile an a half east of here.

I bought these three travel clocks at a boot fair last week for about a £1 each. When I got home I wound each clock and to my surprise they all work and keep good time.....
Update time!
Was able to work in the feedback UrbanErwin gave me into the design! The turntable is now running better and is more easyer to stop at the track you want it to.
Currently adsing the frame for the roof. That will be a major step towards the entire look and feel of the built.
At the bottom of a broom closet in a neighboring village, the last of the bloodline is cleansed from this world.
A very different style after my last build! Eventually I'll finish the rest of the body so it's more than just the arms. :)

"Well, most of 'em. Nearly everyone here's lived with Wayne at one point. The fruity-lookin' guy in the jacket there? That's actually the acrobat you had Tim take a pic with. Don't think he likes me."
JD: "A Flying Grayson? Explains what happened to their boy...."
"Uhh-huh. That skinny Asain girl Tim's talking to?....eh, dunno her story. Tim's called her "Sis" a couple times before. Don't think she likes me, either."
JD: "Seriously?"
"Yep. There are some friends here, though. The redhead Grayson's tryin' to feel up there? That's the GCPD Commissioner's daughter. I know she doesn't like me. I can tell."
JD: "Guess you make friends in high places when you have an income of a small country's GDP...."
"Heh, no shit. No idea who the suit with the anime hair is. Think he's a detective or something. I doubt he'll like me."
JD: "Hopefully they'll like me better, huh? Hehehehe...."
"Heh."
JD: "Well, thanks for being there. For my boy. Probably needed a friend after what went down at the Dragon's Triangle."
"No prob, man. Y'know, Tim told me the whole story. Sorry about your wife. That had to hurt...."
JD: "Gotta move on, y'know?..."
"I hear ya. Cultists, though? That had to be pretty scary."
JD: "Still have nightmares sometimes. Red-hooded creeps with spears."
"Wait, red hoods, and spears? Robes, too?"
JD: "Yeah. Should've seen the two bigshots dragging them around. Killed the old guy, looked like an ancient priest or something....."
"Did these guys have a name?"
JD: "Yeah. Think is was "Cobra" or something."

JD: "What?"
"Tell me, the other bigshot. Was he like 6-foot, receding hairline, scar on the left eye, and oh yeah, a total piece of shit?"
JD: "Y-yes! I'll never forget his face! He was the bastard that killed Janet!"
