Exhibition/installation by Melbourne artist Rone at the Flinders Street Station in the centre of the city. Spread across multiple rooms in the disused and dilapidated third floor of the old Victorian station, the exhibition has been sold out for every day of its six month run.
Planning for the exhibition and sourcing the multitude of objects on display took Rone and his team three years to complete, and the actual installation a further three months.

I took this picture while I was in a caleche (for the first time and maybe last time of my life. See other picture for explanation about the caleches).
These are some old family photos, images and a way of life long gone but captured forever by the camera. The old scratched pocket watch stopped working long ago. What stories it might tell.

We took some time out to get away from technology and live in the great outdoors for awhile. I am in no rush to sit at a computer to process images from our trip. But I had this image in the queue from a photo session with friends just before we left. It is a triple exposure of flowers in my garden with an edit to create a funky fence look. Bei unserer ersten Frühlingswanderung dieses Jahr haben wir dieses schöne Blümchen entdeckt. Das Leberblümchen ist ein typischer Frühlingbote. Im März, wenn im Wald noch Brauntöne vorherrschen, nutzen die hübschen Pflanzen die Zeit, bevor die Bäume Blätter bekommen, die ihnen das Licht rauben.
We discovered this beautiful little flower on our first spring hike this year.
The liverwort is a typical messenger of spring. In March, when shades of brown still predominate in the forest, these pretty plants take advantage of the time before the trees grow leaves that rob them of light.
Sadly I didn't get up just in time today and missed a fantastic sunrise, with wonderful layered cloud. The other night though I did get to the beach just in time, and had great fun . I need to plan for sunrises more, but they're so unpredictable. Just in time by Ivor Cutler is fine.

After another day on the coast, it's getting late and time to start thinking about finding someplace for dinner before heading back over the hills for home.

Hyacinth Macaw - Vulnerable.
The Hyacinth Macaw is the largest parrot in the world and easily one of the most spectacular. It is an enormous bird weighing on average 1.5 kilograms (3.5 pounds) and is completely blue save its dark bill and bare yellow orbital ring and stripe at base of its lower mandible. It is completely dependent on the fruits of a number of palm species and has a necessarily massive bill to aid in the cracking of the tough exterior. Due to its dependence on palm fruit its range is regulated by the presence and abundance of its preferred species and is distributed in north central and south central Brazil into extreme north west Paraguay where it can be found in palm savannas, Mauritia palm stands, open dry woodland, gallery forest and the edge of humid lowland forest.
