Desafiando a la erosión y al tiempo, la gran formación rocosa sobresale con prepotencia en el horizonte. La última luz del atardecer incide directamente sobre ella tornándola de un tono anaranjado-rojizo y mostrando con viveza el apilamiento de estratos del que está formada.
En la distancia, la vida marina sigue su curso aferrándose al flysch sumergido.

Chance lives in a place where he has live access to all kinds of wildlife viewing all day long. He makes his way from the patio door to various windows to twitch his tail and pounce on the screens and windows. However just like any teenager he runs like hell when he hears a utube video on my phone or TV and would sit for hours of viewing if I let him. I usually allow him some screen time when I do the dishes because he is also enthralled with running water and will not leave me or my sink alone. If I sit him down on the table with my phone, I can get the dishes done in peace and remain dry.

Another from a couple days ago. No textures this time. Hope they withstand the snow blanket on them tonight. I love crocuses..wish they were around all summer.
The time is ripe for looking back over the day, the week, the year, and trying to figure out where we have come from and where we are going to, for sifting through the things we have done and the things we have left undone for a clue to who we are and who, for better or worse, we are becoming. But again and again we avoid the long thoughts….We cling to the present out of wariness of the past. And why not, after all? We get confused. We need such escape as we can find. But there is a deeper need yet, I think, and that is the need -- not all the time, surely, but from time to time -- to enter that still room within us all where the past lives on as a part of the present, where the dead are alive again, where we are most alive ourselves to turnings and to where our journeys have brought us. The name of the room is Remember -- the room where with patience, with charity, with quietness of heart, we remember consciously to remember the lives we have lived.

You've all been there, crept in the tunnels, fried in the sun and, of course, taken pictures. When I looked at my first digital shots after 2+ decades, they disappointingly looked like the old film snaps I had taken. Just snapshots, tourist, boring, unimpessive 'memory' snaps... Hence a little post-processing torture had to be applied (to just one shot, the other 999 from the day I may treat differentty. Some day :)
