Three buildings, over 5.000 square meters of space, next generation sequencers, state of the art equipment and 180 workstations for researchers: these are among the key features of Human Technopole’s first experimental labs inaugurated by Minister for University and Research Maria Cristina Messa on 25 February 2022.
A ribbon cutting ceremony took place at the presence of Human Technopole Foundation President Marco Simoni, Human Technopole Director Iain Mattaj, Health Undersecretary Pierpaolo Sileri, Economy and Finance Undersecretary Federico Freni, Lombardy Region Councilor for Economic Development Guido Guidesi, Deputy Milan Mayor Anna Scavuzzo, HT staff and the Heads of the five Research Centres that make up the life sciences institute.
The ‘Kif Jghid Il-Malti’ project is the work of Maltese artists Joel Saliba and Margaret Pace from Ikona Artworks, assisted by Sara-Lee Zammit, Chris Galea and Perry Scenic Ltd.
Saliba said the statues are intended to be thought provoking and to encourage people to reflect on the Maltese language. They were launched February 2018 by Valletta 2018 chairperson Jason Micallef and parliamentary secretary for Valletta 2018 Deo Debattista.

This modest haveli was home to a family of three generations. Look closely at the daughter’s hand, and you will see the traditional decorative henna tattoos which are popular in this part of India.

The Three Soldiers (also known as The Three Servicemen) is a bronze statue on the Washington, DC National Mall commemorating the Vietnam War. The grouping consists of three young men, armed and dressed appropriately for the Vietnam War era, purposely identifiable as Caucasian, African American, and Hispanic. It was designed to complement the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, by adding a more traditional component. The statue, unveiled on Veterans Day, 1984, was designed by Frederick Hart, who placed third in the original design competition.
