We were fortunate to have the Comox Valley Classic Cruisers in Courtenay today for a show. Top of my mind was to find three of something and this was my choice.

Our weather on this day was horrendous. It's the end of July and we had a day of pouring rain and strong winds. The kind of weather more akin to Late Autumn, however by 5pm it was summer again so I drove down to the Gower for my first visit to Three Cliffs Bay.
By the time I arrived I only have around 15 minutes to find a composition before the sun would drop below the hills to the west so I opted for the classic Three Cliffs Bay shot just to get one in the bag.
This place is beautiful and definitely on the cards for a revisit.

That's Anna on the right. She got chased up the post by our Border Collie dog Cindy, who has a particular hatred for Goannas and snakes. The other two beauties are Claire on the left, our son Jono's fiance and our youngest daughter Naomi.
Tunnel Mountain is a prominence just east of Banff town and the trail to its summit starts at the amazing Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity. It's a very easy walk, but the views are incredible, and sometimes expeditions are just too much work!

The Three Mile River or Threemile River is a river in Bristol County, Massachusetts. It is formed by the junction of the Rumford and Wading rivers in the town of Norton. It flows in a southeasterly direction for 13.5 miles (21.7 km) through the towns of Norton, Taunton and Dighton, where it joins the Taunton River.
On August 25, 2008, the Three Mile Watershed was designated an Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). The ACEC designation imparts certain protections and restrictions within a designated area relating to new development and other human activities.

A very different image from me today as a change from my usual nature images.
I don't normally take photos of people or man made objects, but whilst out walking along Bridlington Harbour early on a sunny winter morning I watched some of the sailing vessels coming back.
The sea was flat calm and the sun was low in the sky so I decided to take a few shots.
This one is of a coble, which is a tradional flat bottomed fishing vessel that operated along the Yorkshire Coast. They traditionally have a square sail, although all the ones still in use have a motor.
This one is called "Three Brothers" and is the largest still operating and, as far as I'm aware, is the only one that still has the square sail.

Op het terrein naast 'de Cathrien', de Catharinakerk in hartje Eindhoven, is het 'negro spiritual'-kerkje 'Katrina' opgebouwd, dat de Eindhovense kok-kunstenaar André Amaro heeft nagebouwd van een origineel in New Orleans.
Hij zag die staan toen hij slachtoffers van de orkaan Katrina hielp. " Zo'n baptist-church voor black Americans", zegt hij. Met Ernst Sluier van theatertentenverhuur Brandwacht maakte hij een tekening en een maquette en sloeg aan het bouwen.
Het kerkje is in volle omvang 10 meter breed, 25 meter lang en 12 meter hoog. Amaro gebruikt het kerkje als restaurant tijdens festivals. Voor het Tromp Concours werd een 'halve' versie gebruikt: 10 bij 15 meter.
The small white church is a copy of a baptist church in New Orleans. It was used as a concert hall for a music festival.
