The Lloyds TSB bank branch on Hanover Street is the former Edinburgh Savings Bank (1836 - 1975), a Trustee Savings Bank, later part of the TSB Bank. TSB Bank floated in 1986 as TSB Group plc and merged with Lloyds Bank in 1995 to form Lloyds TSB Group. Trading continued in Scotland as Lloyds TSB Scotland, as it does to this day under the further consolidated and enlarged Lloyds Banking Group.
If you look closely you can make out the ghost of the lettering of the original signage above the door and the old conjoined circles logo from TSB Bank days.
Spotted these three little chaps in the long grass on Dartmoor whilst it was chucking it down with rain.

This is a direct scan of a photograph I came across last week - taken December 1986 in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, here in Australia.
The photo is taken as is, and no modern filters or adjustments have been applied. I like the retro-feel this 36 year old image has.
These rock formations are made of sandstone, like the walls of the surrounding Jamison Valley. The three formations were created by wind and rain which is constantly sculpting the soft sandstone of the Blue Mountains. The Three Sisters can be seen from Echo Point lookout.
A commonly told legend of Our First Nations people tells the tale of three sisters 'Meehni', 'Wimlah' and Gunnedoo'. These three girls were part of the Katoomba tribe. All three fell in love with men from the Nepean tribe; however laws forbade the girls from following their desires and marrying outside their own people. A major tribal battle ensued, and the sisters were turned to stone by an elder to protect them.
The site has UNESCO world heritage listing.

Northern Air Cargo's Boeing 737-232s sandwich a 737-301 on the ramp at ANC. All are former passenger birds converted to cargo. N320 and N321DL were delivered new to Delta Air Lines, While N360WA was originally flown by Piedmont Airlines. 320) has since been withdrawn from service.
I have been very busy this past month, but I did find the time to photograph my favorite deer herd. On this day, I was privileged to photograph this mama with her three triplets. It has not been easy getting all of them together, but I finally did!
Three apartment buildings (I assume) standing near KC's Kemper Arena (Hy-Vee Arena, whatever they call it now). I liked the way these buildings stood together, and while I was out taking other photos, I kept thinking about getting back to them to get a shot. Also, trying some new editing techniques, so we'll see how it all goes. I shoot raw, using a Nikon D3400, and edit in Lightroom (occasionally Photoshop and/or Nik Collection tools).

As a thunderstorm passed in the distance I got the camera low on the tripod to use some vegetation as the foreground element. As luck would have it the storm delivered the background. A lighting trigger was used with an exposure set for 6 seconds which generated the slight blur in the bushes due to the windy conditions.

If you go: it's almost 30 miles from the nearest parking lot.
wow, this week seemed to go on for years.
i had monday off but i swear the week was sixty days long. each day i looked at the clock about every two to three minutes and i just couldn't focus or concentrate on anything. i'm actually very glad the week is over and i had a fun weekend to conclude it, so at least there was some reward in suffering through, right?
eh, maybe next week will treat me better. or seem even longer since i don't have monday off, sigh.

It seems to me that these are three brothers, their faces are very similar. And the youngest brother, apparently, is used as an engine😀.
Black Sea.
Seen while exploring the harbour in Kaohsiung, southern Taiwan. Just a bit of Saturday morning fun before we head off to a friend's wedding this afternoon. We are home now but I might keep imagining I am in magical Taiwan. We enjoyed it very much for all the vibrancy of life and amazing food. One little achievement was to eat peanuts with chopsticks - try it sometime :)
