A new series based on the concept of frame-within-a-frame. I'll be playing a bit loose with the idea.

A mother and daughter walk at a slow pace along the ocean's edge. The sun has set and all that remains is the glow of a late summer sunset. But it doesn't appear they even notice the glow in the sky, or the gentle waves, or hear the sound of sand crunching underfoot or even the cries of the seagulls. They are deep in conversation, two women, sharing what matters in their lives.
Not far off is a photographer, alone with her camera, watching every magical moment transforming before her eyes. The sky at this time of the evening can be anywhere from shades of gold to brilliant reds, to pale pinks and purples.
Two are oblivious to their surroundings while one is on high alert waiting for the right moment to capture with her camera. And then there it is, two women walking, the sky, the waves, all coming together for this one woman.
Three flowering Cherry Tomato plants should bear fruit if the pollinating insects in my garden do their job properly !
I don't know the nameof this rose but all the blooms seem to have different characteristics.
I like the grumpy face with one eye open on the one in the middle :-)

I am glad we still have some green left in the East Bay hills. This photo was taken in February when the green was the most vibrant.

This is from a German encampment. As I was working on the picture, it occurred to me that this might be some obscure nazi symbolism. After all, it's THREE axes. I can see one axe in the tree. But THREE? So I showed the picture to Grok and asked about nazi symbolism. Grok gave me a nice discussion about axes as symbols, but it's pretty much cross-culture, and there isn't any unsavory tie-in.
Grok also said it was a nice picture. So I got that going for me, which is nice. 😜
Now, I'm off to watch NASCAR.
