Not sure if it's a Emesaya sp. or Stenolemus sp. or something else?

Threading pattern (Finnish Twill from the Davison book) is taped on the castle. While I initially thought suspending the cross was a cruel joke, I now think it is brilliant.

These insects are very hard to photograph. It is like trying to shoot a photograph of a five foot long piece of spagetti. If you look closely you will see there is an eye and a beak like mouth part folded directly under the head. For best view click on all sizes and then click on original size.

Thanks to Cotinis and Nachoman for correcting me on the ID. It makes sense that this is a kind of assassin bug. The mouth part is perfect.

A break while doing product shots yielded this lovely lighting on some embroidery thread.

Well, trying to anyway (the wind wasn't cooperating on the smoke rings).

Sketching with thread....! I tried to use a continuous line but the thread broke! Experimenting with using watercolor.

At an auction I found a big bag full of colour coordinated sewing threads. Of course, I had to get them because of the wonderful colour combos!

This interesting looking insect somehow managed to get past my flyscreen and trapped inside, where it later expired. I'd say it was somewhere between 1.5 and 2 inches, and quite creepy.

I needed a photo of "texture" for my Psych of Visual Communications HW this week. I ended up taking this shot of the ends of my scarves at around 3:30 in the morning.
