A time/thread based experimentation: I recorded fragments of a conversation every 5 min and then took my notes and googled the fragments. I then went back into the google search contents and highlighted the results and began to look more closely at the content and the connections RNDMly generated.

I felt bad for making my wife look so awful, so I thought I would break out the wide angle close up on myself. Threw in some thread for good measure.

nylon thread is expensive. I buy it in bulk (eg 1 lb. spools) but they are too large to fit my machine's spool holder. I built this holder for four spools plus a hanger for my bobbins. The top of the thread feeder has a bent paper clip sticking out of each side to guide the thread up and out to the machine.

I came across this thread while going through some boxes for an upcoming garage sale. I have no idea how old it is, but the price has to speak for itself!

This really could have some significant meaning to it but im to tired to think of one :)

Magazine cover design for J464. We had to illustrate our faces and design around the illustration.

This bracelet and crochet jewelry process described in my Crochet Inspirations Newsletter #38.

The thread is Knit-Cro-Sheen, shaded light greens, size 10. Crocheted with a Boye size 6 hook.

The pattern is a favorite of mine from a collection of pineapple designs by Nihon Vogue; I'll add more when I locate the book!

New pattern. Woo hoo, I'm crocheting with gas now!

My Grandma, who was an amazing seamstress, passed away a couple of years ago, and we had been meaning to sort through her sewing notions and thread and fabric for a while. She had an amazing range of colors represented in her thread, and we sorted it by color (and had some fun playing around with building towers from the spools). I plan to display these on a wooden thread rack, where all the colors can brighten up my room.

"Take a step back and look at me

And tell me what it is that you really see

Look inside what I call Hell

Deep within my inner shell

Look past the deep blue of my eyes

Find all my points and make them round

Until you reach my threads of life

Until all that is me you have found

This is the only way to let you know

The way it feels to be me

The lengths at which I would go

To make it to eternity

The heart it takes to call me normal

Knows nothing unless they are blind

Were I would kill them leave them there

For no-one else to ever find

Back in a hole used long ago

Were no-one ever ventures

In a place were I can hide my soul

And all my other treasures

So come along a ride with me

Down a path carved by my knife

Be with me were scars are formed

Here in the threads of life"

These are the ATC's I originally had in mind for the Threaded ATC swap. One of them had a mark on the card so I covered it with a button and added a few more for balance. I really like adding the buttons to these woven ATC's.

having thread tension troubles this am. damn it! Would like to make some oversewn tees this am, but that's very delicate work, and I don't have the "groove" today. Some other time, perhaps. sigh.

Leftovers from Saturday's holiday decorating: florist foam, part from an ornament, black thread.

This is a birthday gift I got from my friend :) The threads are rather old, perhaps somebody knows, how old they could be?

I haven't seen the tiny dmc cotton thread in such colors before, there is something similar, but only in white and ecru now.
