we ended up ditching these for bolts, when we cut them down it messed up the threads and we couldn't get the wingnuts on.

The incredibly thin 'waist' on this wasp led to its name.
Adults feed on flower nectar, but larvae are parasitic.
Females use their paralyzing sting to disable caterpillars and other insects. These unfortunate victims are then brought to an underground burrow (previously dug out by the female) to become food for the wasp's larva.

We needed some ubolts to mount the PV wire concentrator box with. We
of course would not find a ubolt suitable for this in my small town.
Instead we purchased two long all thread bolts and smoke made use of a
old propane forge to heat and bend them with.
