Crisscrossing woodlands throughout New England, stone walls stand quietly whispering stories to those who listen. These centuries-old historical markers indicate that land was previously cleared for agricultural use. Now overgrown and often hidden by thick undergrowth and tree roots, and covered with lichens, stone walls tell a story of geology, changing land uses, natural plant succession, and renewal.
The Eleanor Cabot Bradley Estate is a nonprofit country house and garden ground museum in Canton, Massachusetts. It is operated by The Trustees of Reservations. The grounds are open every day, sunrise to sunset, without charge.
n 1902, Dr. Arthur Tracey Cabot (b. 1852 in Boston to Dr. Samuel Cabot III and Hannah Lowell Jackson Cabot)[1] hired architect Charles A. Platt to design a country house with landscaping and outlying farm buildings. Its formal grounds include lawns, a walled garden, and a parterre. Dr. Cabot had seven siblings,[2] but no children.[3] The estate was passed on to his niece, Eleanor Cabot (daughter of his brother, Godfrey Lowell Cabot), who married Major Ralph Bradley in 1919.[4]
In 1945, she added ponds, a camellia house and greenhouse, and planted specimen trees. Additional land includes more than 60 acres (240,000 m2) of meadows and woods, with some 3 miles (4.8 km) of walking trails.
Llama Enclosure: There are a couple Llama’s, goats, and lambs on the property, and they’re friendly. It makes a great place to entertain any children as well.

Another one of those cult fixed lens rangefinders of the 1960s. While it didn't get as much press as the famous Cannonet QL17 GIII, the 35SP stands tall with a feature that many didn't the capability to do spot metering!

I love those moments when the sun comes out for two seconds and everyone runs towards the light (alright maybe I'm the only one running towards the light), but it gets dark and dreary when its rainy all the time and you're spending 12 hour shifts (for an entire week) in the computer lab staring at data trying to find something "significant" until you go cross-eyed. bleh.
Its been a week of extremes- both super ups and super downs. I'm trying to focus on the ups. :)
I wish you all a lovely TGIF and I will be visiting streams during study breaks (from my finals) over the weekend.
Still not sure if I will change for others or not.

Those crazy monks don't half like building in difficult places. In this case, on an island that can only be reached by boat or by walking across a causeway at low tide.
Still, they also seem to like making zany gardens full of bright flowers and steps. Lots of steps.

"This exhibition features Philippe Parreno's creepy doll, which is enough to give me the jitters. It is one of those old Victorian machines that can be mechanised to scratch out words, in this case the sentence "What do you believe, my eyes or your words?" Chilling and strangely lifelike, it works perfectly in this context. The exhibition is inspired by Brian Aldiss's short story Supertoys Last All Summer Long, about an android boy who thinks he's real - yep, you guessed it, it was the basis for the movie AI. The premise of the show is whether humans will ever be able to create robots that can think and feel like us. Other artists taking part include the film-maker Chris Cunningham, Natalie Jeremijenko and technologists and researchers from Bristol's robotics lab.

A four hour trip to Dover yesterday. Its European Wave and Tidal project conference season, and for some reason I'm the keynote speaker of choice.

I like to think this is one of those times this kid will never forget.
This kid and his dad were tearing it up with this special board with cool handles and all. They were laughing and having a ball. One time just as they were flying be I knelt down and *click* =)
those nights when you remember someone, miss someone... and you know this one does not remember you...
I spent some time trying to get another good close-up of my eyes for the Macro Mondays subject Blue but couldn't make it work.
I did get this shot of both eyes so it meets the brief for

To answer the question, I inherited my eyes mostly from my father.

Founded by Caitlin Adler, Project Narnia provides the homeless and the working poor with clothing, shoes and hygiene products at weekly pop-up events throughout the Los Angeles area. The organization works with other local nonprofits to source those items and deliver them directly to communities where the need is greatest. Without these basic necessities – which deeply affect a person’s physical health and emotional resilience – it is virtually impossible to get off the street and find (and keep) a job. To date, Project Narnia has provided clothing to 1,500 homeless individuals, prom outfits to more than 100 teenagers, and job interview outfits to over 500 people transitioning out of homelessness.
Before leaving Bakong, we met those kids again of course. They put the stickers on their faces, which is funny. But just right when we were leaving, they stood in line and start to wish us good luck. But they spoke Chinese. 一帆風順,一路平安,一路發財..they said many Chinese four-word proverbs with number one as the first word. I was amazed and then stopped to listen to them. They wore uniforms. They got the chance to go to school, while so many other kids can't do that but sell suviniors. I dropped my tears looking at them.
We did one of those bucket list events. We went to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Since we were staying in a brownstone on the the upper West side, were able to basically walk out the door and walk up a block to get a front row seat. We were that close. We were within meters of the parade origination. (We could see Thomas the Tank Engine ready to lead the way a good hour before the parade started). This is a shot of the Marching Band that came from the Bahamas. They were the best. via 500px ift.tt/1zaijUU
My Grandfather & Grandmother

Christmas Eve My Mother told me, that when this photo was taken My Grandmother Olga (to the right) had been after my Grandfather (to the left), so he was in a bad Mood. My Mother still remembered this situation after almost 60 years.
