Me,
Like the title, in this period I'm full of things,
but now it's the moment to clean my mind and re-start a new life.
Traditions teach.
Here, the youngest are being taught by those two generations older.
Games are the mechanism, the dining table is the location, and the prime motivator to learn is the pride of winning. Just a thinking game called Cranium, but the interactions make for a fertile training ground for minds eager to learn and show how much they know.
This scene is usually repeated at each family gathering. After the feast is over, the games come out and the competition is fun but fierce. I was roaming about, with my camera in hand, and saw this image unfolding before me. How could I not grab an image for the family album?
Can't you just see the fun?
I think it's the gloves and spats on this that make the picture. Looks like a 1920s Chicago racketeer!

todays fathers day, so a big happy fathers dad to my lovely dad :o) i did (as always) buy alex a card from slaine a willow, and i tied to to slaines collar so she could give it to daddy hehe :o) yep, im sad ;o)
last night went out with the girlies from work, had a great time, food was oh so yummy, and i got oh so full.... funny moment of the evening had to go to sarah and her refering to a sink as 'that posh thing you have in your room' hehehe, bless her :o) she also had us laughing at her ordering a kids meal and getting excited that it came with a colouring book and crayons hehe :o) we'll definately have to do it again...
funny moment at work had to be the lady asking if we sold elbow grease for cleaning, oh my goodness i had a good giggle at that hehe :o)
started reading the book 'flu', enjoying it so far :o)
i now have a big bruise on my forehead from friday when the shower curtian rail decided to attack me grrrr.... alex gave me a few special kisses that he said would make it better :o)

This guy sat so still and motionless on the pavement (too much bhang, I think!) that he reminded me of Auguste Rodin's famous statue, The Thinker.
I was quite impressed by the wildlife that persists in such great altitude. Along with these Yaks (bisons?) also got to see some wild horses grazing in the meadows.
Botanical Illustrations have always fascinated me--such attention to details! Finally, I have attempted a botanical illustration; something I have always wanted to try! I have a lot to learn about scientific art drawings!
The name Van Houtte fascinated me, as it is similar to mine! I read that he hired the best lithographers of the era to create color illustrations of the flowers in his gardens. He published a book from 1845 - 1883, as listed in my middle picture.
or hardcore punk as ian describes his band. since dreadnok is playing a show 10 min away, i guess i don't have an excuse not to go, so off to the mutiny.
i am feeling weird. i have been really off today. hardly got any sleep last night due to ian and weird mouth/jaw/teeth pains, so i was super tired driving out to school. and i just wasn't feeling well in general - my stomach is kinda feeling gross. left school early and came home to try to rest/nap (still dealing with damn pains and taking so many tylenol). i totally forgot i was going to make dinner, so at 6:45 ian was asking me if i was going to make the thing that just yesterday i told him i was going to make.
i can't believe i totally forgot about making dinner. and then, when i was setting up for this shot, i went to get something by the fireplace and guess what i kicked and broke - one of the bud vases that i just bought on wednesday. i don't know what my deal is.
and i have to tell you this about last night. we were up late anyway, watching House, of course so that wasn't good there. ian was sleeping diagonally at one point, so his head and top part of body were hogging my side of the bed, so i didn't have much room. ian thinks he hears yoshi yipping at like 3am so he goes down the spiral staircase to get the dog and bring him back up. yoshi was being mostly good, small amount of licking, then he was laying under the covers not moving and of course mocha was hogging the bed cuddled up in my legs. ian thinks i am on his side (which mind you, i had less than my half of the bed) and he starts meanly shoving me over. i asked him what the hell he was doing cuz it was seriously mean and he said i was hogging his side. whatever. so then he decides that yoshi was being too annoying, so he picked up the dog, brought him back down to his cage, and came back up. i was so confused because yoshi wasn't doing anything! so by then i am awake and cant sleep cuz of my pains so i go downstairs to go on the laptop and end up sleeping on the couch. yoshi did yip again at 5:15, so i got up and let him out of his cage again so he could go back upstairs while i stayed on the couch. i was more comfortable on the couch than in our bed.
i talked to ian on the way home from school and all he knew is that he didn't sleep well and i slept on the couch. he didn't remember any of it at all!! soooooo weird, like possibly sleepwalking down our spiral staircase with our fragile dog. ok that was a long story.
Spotted whilst walking around Newtown in my lunch, sadly he has only half a brain left. Too much heavy thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Slim is delighted with the bright colors in this book. Twiggy knows the importance of reading to Slim. He loves Alice In Wonderland.He did wonder why there weren't any skeletons in the story. Twiggy told Slim they were all still in Lewis' closet and that's why he couldn't see them. :))
