I think all these are better large.

I always thought gnomes lived near the ground under mushrooms and such... what a surprise when I spotted this wee fella up in my tree!

People at Evergreen are kind of hippies.

I think he looks like a Muppet rocking out here. He was just waking up from a nap

This bird has been hanging out in the yard all afternoon. I wouldn't find this very strange if I lived anywhere near a body of water. It keeps flying away when I go outside to take a picture of it. I just looked out the window and it is back for the 4th time.

This young duck left his friends just for some chill time, the others joined him short time later.

I think a part of that is often times wanting to have a plan for the unplannable, does that make sense? So at least even if I don't have a concrete plan, I'll have structure, like a structure of a plan... So, I'm still like that, like when something happens, I'm still anxious and I have to think about all of the bad things that can happen. I still need to write it down a lot of times, call Danny and talk to her about it a lot times, like oh my god, what if this happens?... I've evolved into that being more of a “trust the process” personality, Even if it's bad or even if it seems bad, does that make sense?

Common example, I got offered the job at Brandeis University around the same time I was waiting for a job in Abu Dhabi. So, I have Brandise here like “we want an answer, we want it in this many days” and Abu Dhabi is like “we may or may not get back to you to say that we really want you to come in by this many days”. The two don't work together, I have two options; I take the job at Brandeis, give up on my current dream job in Abu Dhabi or I turn down the job at Brandeis and still believe that i'm going to get this job in Abu Dhabi, so it's kind of like a contradiction. I have the anxiety around I may not get this job and I’m like, oh my god, what if I turn this job down and then i don't get the Abu Dhabi job. What if I don't get another job, what if, what if, what if.

Think they are orange ladybirds found on a gravestone in the local cemetery

Tree Sparrow (Passer montanus) Pilfink, on a lunch break... :~)

I wonder, if the text in the photo is in cotext with the mood of the picture???

Just completed a 3 day hike down the South Kaibab trail of the Grand Canyon, 2 nights/1 day at a cabin in Phantom Ranch on the bottom, and hike out on the Bright Angel Trail. The overlook shots are mostly on the S. Kaibab, with glimpses of the Colorado River visible in some. A few shots, with people begin to show the incredible scale of the place. Snow & ice at the top for the first 2-3 miles, very cold, but then nice but still cold at Phantom. I couldn't hike with my "real" camera, so all I had with me was an old point-n-shoot. Still, given the shock & sadness of the mass shootings in my Tucson town which I learned of just as I was about to descend, the beauty of the Grand Canyon was the perfect antidote. It really helped.

Sporting her new outfit! I'm renaming her, which do you guys think is more...."her"? here are the options: Yvelle, Yvette, and Yvonne.
