You'd think it's an old cliche to play with Ouija board on a Halloween night, right? Well, this is the result: you can get possessed, or worse... your neck may decide to disobey you and do weird stuff. Yes, we learned our lesson..... or not?

I think I'm finally starting to let myself create in a way that suits me and reflects me, rather than the way 'it's done'. What about you? I'd love to know!

Think the shape of these sculptures is rather suited to London skyline views - dont think this will be the only one!

This bird has been hanging out in the yard all afternoon. I wouldn't find this very strange if I lived anywhere near a body of water. It keeps flying away when I go outside to take a picture of it. I just looked out the window and it is back for the 4th time.

I think this is about where we ended up. After walking out of Red Bridge, we joined the #NCT and the terrain changed. The Manistee River trail stays up atop the riverbank. Whereas the NCT side has more ups and downs along the hills. By this point we were getting tired, our bags were getting heavier and our feet hurt. However, there didnt seem to be as many campsites on this side. We were going to stay at Red Hill, but there were people setup there. Finally, we came to this hill, which looked out over the entire river valley.

Think outside the box - cigarette butts can be pretty too ...

This little fellow was the lone deep thinker of his bunch - the rest were flexing their instinctual muscles and kept trying to "take me down" - they'd go after my hips and achilles tendons.

They were only 3 months old though

I think a part of that is often times wanting to have a plan for the unplannable, does that make sense? So at least even if I don't have a concrete plan, I'll have structure, like a structure of a plan... So, I'm still like that, like when something happens, I'm still anxious and I have to think about all of the bad things that can happen. I still need to write it down a lot of times, call Danny and talk to her about it a lot times, like oh my god, what if this happens?... I've evolved into that being more of a “trust the process” personality, Even if it's bad or even if it seems bad, does that make sense?

Common example, I got offered the job at Brandeis University around the same time I was waiting for a job in Abu Dhabi. So, I have Brandise here like “we want an answer, we want it in this many days” and Abu Dhabi is like “we may or may not get back to you to say that we really want you to come in by this many days”. The two don't work together, I have two options; I take the job at Brandeis, give up on my current dream job in Abu Dhabi or I turn down the job at Brandeis and still believe that i'm going to get this job in Abu Dhabi, so it's kind of like a contradiction. I have the anxiety around I may not get this job and I’m like, oh my god, what if I turn this job down and then i don't get the Abu Dhabi job. What if I don't get another job, what if, what if, what if.

Think this taken by Illy Elia, not by me.

I think this means, "danger, don't swim here." Either that, or it means, "hey everybody, there are gringo tourists here that want to buy your crap." Observational evidence seemed to point both ways.
