I think I have enough FRs, so I promised I will not get any FR from this year's convention... As you can see, I am pretty weak :)

I wanted to focus on NuFace collection, now that its back from hiatus. NuFace drew me into Integrity world, but since it was absent for a while I found my comfort in FR. I really could not resist this Vanessa.

She has regular white skintone and 3.0 (not so loved) sculpt (or mold - I will never learn which one is the correct term). She does not have wobbly head, unlike Prestige Natalia and Aristocratic Agnes I got earlier. However, her legs and hips are a bit loose. The arm joints are so tight that they squeal when you move them. I hope they will tighten the leg joint, because I am afraid that they will get so loose that I won't be able to pose her. The hair color is nice, its not too yellow and its not white. She has minimal makeup and a bit sleepy gaze, which I LOVE! Her eyes are perfectly sized, as I do not prefer small eyes. The lips, oooohhh myyyy, they are perfect. She is gorgeous.

The outfit is inspired by Marilyn Monroe look in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953). I read comments that the material they used for the dress is not exactly material, but I actually LOVE it. It is very, very thin so it does not get in the way when you lower her arms. I HATE when you can not lower the arms all the way and you get that snowmen look... The length of the sleeves is very cool and it usually omits the movements of the arms, but that's not the case here. The material they used for cape is also very thin, very playable, its perfect. The shoes are OK. They are dark red and at the moment I am glad we get shoes in any color other than black.... The earrings are amazing, they have red stones and look very nice on her (these earrings have been used previously for Katy Keene collection). The bracelet is heavy and looks very lux (we saw this bracelet in the upcoming Eden&Lilith giftset). Other collectors commented that she needs hat, but I miss the bag more.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase, I would rate her 9.5/10.

I think I ran mostly on adrenalin while I was in New York!

After getting to bed late and spending most of the night fidgeting in bed, I woke up at 5 a.m., showered, and took a cab to New York City Hall so that I could walk across the bridge and catch the sunrise at 6:28 a.m.

I wasn't sure what to expect at such an early hour, but there was already steady traffic, and people young and old walking or running the length of the bridge -- some for the exercise, others to get to work, and some just wandering and enjoying the view.

Catching the sunrise from the Brooklyn Street bridge had popped up on more than one list of Top Things To Do In New York, and I'm so very glad that I did! Certainly one of the highlights of my trip!

The four men just completed an 18-hour drill conductor's course in which they taught local commercial fishermen how to conduct various emergency drills for the crews aboard their own vessels. Think in ways you've never thought before.

If the phone rings, think of it as carrying a message

Larger than anything you've ever heard,

Vaster than a hundred lines of Yeats.

Think that someone may bring a bear to your door,

Maybe wounded and deranged; or think that a moose

Has risen out of the lake, and he's carrying on his antlers

A child of your own whom you've never seen.

When someone knocks on the door,

Think that he's about

To give you something large: tell you you're forgiven,

Or that it's not necessary to work all the time,

Or that it's been decided that if you lie down no one will die.

Self shot with one Dlite2 strobe on the top left of the model through honeycomb mesh & barn doors for non spilage of light.

Interesting thing is that I used a A5 sized fresnel lens for intensifying the light on the model's face.

We think Teek was in the basement when the CD case came crashing down. He's been sucky and sweet ALL day. He's still in the bedroom snoozing on my pillow. Come to think of it, I don't know that he's been back downstairs since the middle of the night. Poor lil' scaredy-pants.

I think I got busted :)

I think I'd better get back to the rest of the group now, or they will leave without me! After checking out a desolate cave temple deep down in the bush, near the Saiyok Noi waterfall source near Kanchanaburi, Thailand, and a mild panic attack deep inside the cave (see previous pictures earlier in this album), it was high time I moved on On my way out, I did pause briefly to turn and look back into the cave temple to take this parting shot under the watchful eyes of the Buddha inside. I am in Kanchanaburi on a day trip to check out the bridge on the river Kwai and learn about the horrors related to the Death Railway, which I had spent the entire morning exploring. The after noon halt was at the Saiyok Noi waterfalls and while the rest of y group is splashing about in the waters of the pool, I opted for the long walk down a desolate rural Thai country road to check out the source of the Saiyok Noi falls. (detailed notes about all this appeared earlier in this album- see previous pictures). On my way back to join the rest of my group at the Saiyok Noi falls, I took a slight detour to explore this tiny cave temple set deep in the bush. (Kanchanaburi, Thailand, Oct. 2008)

When you pay twenty-five dollars for a Christmas tree, you've been trimmed more than the tree has.

I think this is a soldier fly as it is brightly coloured, wings folded very flat on back, three pads on the feet and those two tiny spines on the thorax.

Someone let me know please if I'm out of line here. Thanks to Tim for getting the ID for me, it is a Oxycera trilineata
