Pound for pound the Scottish wildcat is one of the most impressive predators in the world; intelligent, fearless, resourceful, patient, agile and powerful they are genuine superpredators which until as recently as the 1950s were still believed to be man killers.

Although wildcats look similar to domestic cats, these are no ferals or farm cats run wild; they're Britain's only remaining large wild predator, our only wild cat, and they walked this land for millions of years before mankind arrived or domestic cats existed.

Surviving human persecution for five hundred more years than the British wolf and over a thousand more years than the British lynx or bear, they are born survivors; adaptable and resilient to some of the most substantial changes in habitat, culture and politics that any animal has had to face.

Every inch a cat in every sense of the word the Scottish wildcat epitomises the independent, mysterious and wild spirit of the Highlands like no other creature.

"They'll fight to the death for their freedom; they epitomise what it takes to be truly free I think."

Well Trevor (Coltsboy00) gave me one of his spartan dudes today when I was at his house. He had like four of them. ;-;

So I decided to make this really quick figure from the torso.

It's supposed to be some kind of Batman from a time long ago.

Think this looks better in black and white.

Well,

After breakfast, she stay hidden.

I'm trying very hard to think of a personal benefit of the coronavirus pandemic. Finally I can think of one, I'm not increasing my stockpile of images nearly as quickly as before -- and I can go back to some old folders and post something taken some years ago.

When we were in Montreal, the city police was in a labour dispute. As essential services not allowed to go on strike, they wore this pseudo-camouflage pants/ trousers to display their displeasure.

Sorry I forgot my description when I left for work!!!! What a morning...I don't know if these two days per week are worth the stress they cause!!! Need to rethink this! :P

think it is a Lonicera of some kind

This little common blue rested quietly for a while on this leaf when the sun was in at Farlington Marshes, on the south coast of the UK (not far from Portsmouth). The butterfly was up on the perimeter path around the embankment of the marsh, just feet away from the water of the harbour.

Not being one to miss a photo opportunity like this (what? butterfly not moving like the clappers for once?), I got down and took some shots with the great luxury of being able to steady the camera reasonably well for once!

Enjoy!

I think this old truck must have been for sale.. I didn't see a sign but the fact that it was almost a wreck made me think that they didn't want to spend the time or money to restore it but was hoping that someone at the show would be willing to buy it to restore...Happy Truck Thursday, Everybody!!

Some more photos from the shoot with the very talented Emilie.

I got some really heavy condense on the lens because of the humidity inside the building at the botanical garden, but it kind of added something to the shot I think.

Blogged. Not so much text for this post, just feel kinda lazy repeating. LOL.

Happy Friday. It's a freezing Friday in NYC!

I *think* I've figured out what wrtyler did in their corner module. This seems to work in theory - I'll need to gather some parts to see if it works in reality. Dark Tan for a reason... let's say I'm going a little far, far away with microscale than most do.

I've had enough of winter and specifically owls. These are the last I will post for the season (promise).

Spring is here and the migration has started. Time for new stuff...

This is the biggest spider I have seen in my life!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot believe we have spiders like this in Montana!!!!! This was taken outside on my back gate!!!!! I'm pretty sure this is a Wolf spider; it could be a Grass Spider. It looked big enough to think it was a tarantula!!!!! LOL....Now, I'm impressed with this spider....but I'm gonna find out how to get rid of them. I found one last year...it carries it's babies live on it's back....yuck!!!

It was almost dark when I come across this thing...took a pic of it and left. It would be too gross to smash it...creeped me out bad...but I'm not packing my bags at this point!!! LOL Check it out in large ….amazing details! This was a dam big spider!!!!! Spooks me! Should have shot it with a pistol!!!!!! Just joking......:)

Info from the internet: Named for their similarities to wolves, wolf spiders are medium to large in size, brown or black and hairy. These spiders also have long legs and can get around quite speedily. Their eyesight is excellent, and they use it to hunt down prey. Wolf spiders are among the largest spiders found in Montana and can be aggressive. Wolf spiders do not spin webs. In autumn, if they cannot find food, they will often move into houses. The female carries the eggs in her spinnerets until they hatch, and after they emerge she carries the baby spiders on her back.

This is a wolf spider (in the link below) I got a shot of a few years ago here in my yard. The only reason I think it's a wolf spider is the info says it's the only spider who carries it's babies on it's back alive!!!!! :P

What I think may be bullfrog at the Morris Island Conservation Area in Fitzroy Harbour (Ottawa), Ontario, Canada.

I hate to see you cry

Lying there in that position

There's things you need to hear

So turn off your tears

And listen

Pain throws your heart to the ground

Love turns the whole thing around

No it won't all go the way it should

But I know the heart of life is good....

hope u like it ^_^

I think I'm one of the few person who still collect the old AvantGuards, the original dolls from which Aymeline's scuplt is derived.

When the 13" version came out last year, even though I liked her, I decided to pass, because I really love the 16" size one, I was missing only 3 of the originals dolls so I decided to concentrate on looking for them.

When I saw the new Aymelines I was tempted to buy the black girl because I always wanted an Avant Guards with that skintone but we never got it.

I recently managed to buy one of the 3 AGs that I was missing, Bijoux, the doll in this picture, after following all the misadventures related to the release of the new Aymelines I decided to keep my initial decision and pass to the new too, I don't like how the sale was handled by NAP and the bewilderment, uncertainty and disappointment it generated in many collectors wishing to buy it.

So, I'm so glad to have added this beauty to my Avant Guards collection more than 10 years since I bought the first one.

Happy Holydays to all my dolly friends.

( it is NOT what you think it is...you are just naughty minded),

Longwood Gardens Tulips

I don't know why but whenever I take pictures outside with the wonderful sunset and the tall grass, it reminds me of Taylor Swift music videos and pictures. I'm not saying it's inspiration or anything, but it's super nice to have that feel to my pictures.. y'know? So this title is from the song Tim Mcrgaw, it's such a wonderful song. Listen to it a.s.a.p!

Cheers,

Think we have enough chips?

There are more on the next isles.

We went to see if they had any Old Dutch chips.

They didn't. It was something to do.

She thinks she’s a princess anyway. She has a 3rd birthday coming up on Feb 26, so maybe she’ll let me dress her up a little for picture day? If there’s a treat involved, she will do anything!
