Think & Wonder works just as well with more mature prints like Anna Maria Horner. It's all about picking the right fabrics to tie it all in together like the mustard that is used in each of the blocks and for the binding which contrast nicely with the navy and cerise colors.

Whew it arrived just in time. I didn't think it was going to get here before the end of the year. I thought it would have been bigger. It is suppose to last the whole 365 days but this looks like it'll only last 52 weeks. But looking at the state this year is ending in there's not really much other option.
Now let's see. Instructions...instructions...where are the...oh here they are. "Clean your 2017 thoroughly so as no cross contamination". Well...bugger that. 2017 is so shite covered I'm just going to put down some newspaper and bin bags and we'll pave over it with the new year and pretend it didn't happen.

Last nights sunset was a screamer... at least I think that is the technical term for it.
We contemplated not venturing out to shoot as there was a lot of cloud and no sign of the sun, but I could see a small gap in the cloud at the western horizon, so I thought there was a chance of a colourful sunset appearing. And it did.
As they say: you may not get a good photo every time you go out, but you are 0% likely to get it if you don't go out at all.
This was the first chance I had had to shoot sunset with my Fujifilm X-E2, and I think it worked out pretty well.

I think this is a Coopers Hawk? I was happy to see him and get this with a not so great lens. He sat pretty for me with both dogs as I snapped, then walked away.
I think they have such little personalities, and once I get to know them, I can tell if they are in need of water at a glance. They live here in a little prickly pack, on the windowledge between the wood stove and the snow.
My first attempt at this pose. I have admired Carrie for her work. I think this baby was too big to get further down, or the dad's arm was not long enough lol. I like it though.

They literally have been eating me out of house and home!! I had to replace my suet twice daily . . . not to mention meal worms!!!
UPDATE . . . I have to offer an apology! I lied! The little buggers are still here!! They must have gone on some sort of outing yesterday because the weather was so glorious!! They were back en masse today! It will be later, my Canadian friends . . .
