I think that my reactions to the things and situations that i have to face is an outcome of the war between heart and mind, feeling and logic.. Is there any balance around those two? Which shower do you use most? Left or right?

Spring cannot come soon enough for me.

There was a wonderful array of flowers 360 degrees all around! Lovely colors, shapes, textures....

Right side as different from the bows on the vase that were straight toward me.

I think this young vixen needs to work on her stealth skills a bit more

I think this little one might be a very young version of the larger Gray And Black I've shown on this same Garage. This one was maybe 2 or 3mm long. The paint chips even look massive next to it.

This is Mr. beans Mini. Not much to it, I painted that mudguard brick in lime, because... Dunno, I wanted Mr. beans mini. As it is right now, you can build that thing in red and brown I think.

I think I've waited close on 2 years to post these images, which I can finally achieve today, thanks to some new printed parts and a little gentle sunshine!

Also shown here for comparison, is my late father's 'O' gauge model of a GWR 5700 (the 8750 I modelled is a revised variant). It sat proudly above his desk for as long as I can remember, perhaps partly as a promise of the layout he never built....

* This shot would I think defy any straightening software. Both The Two Towers are leaning very significantly. At the heart of the city they are the symbol of Bologna. They are located at the intersection of the roads that lead to the five gates of the old ring wall (mura dei torresotti). The taller one is called the Asinelli while the smaller but more leaning tower is called the Garisenda. Their names derive from the families, which are traditionally credited for their construction between 1109 and 1119. Their construction was a competition between the two families to show which was the more powerful family.

The Asinelli tower rises 318 feet (97 metres) and slopes seven feet to the West. The smaller tower Garisenda once rose to 197 feet but it had 39 feet lopped off the height in the mid fourteenth century for safety reasons. Garisenda leans full 11 feet to the North East. It is possible to climb the 425 steps to the top of the Asinelli Tower but I did not risk my knees

It hard to imagine but Dante knew these towers well and are cited several times by in the Divine Comedy

Considering their size they proved rather difficult to photograph and this is probably the best of the many shots I took of them

THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FOR TAKING THE TIME TO WRITE A COMMENT IT’S MUCH APPRECIATED AND SO MUCH MORE INTRESTING THAN JUST GIVING A FAVE

I think it's fitting to post the Koenigsegg Regera today, as it's nearing the end of the year and it's certainly the best car I've been able to take a picture of this year, especially as we didn't expect the Regera to be driven at all !

Lyon - Tête d'or

think twice.don't think twice.

Mike and I are starting a new tradition this year: Christmas without the tree.

I'm so relieved. Because every year, the tree has been the source of this huge internal struggle for me.

On one hand... in what I like to think is a nod to my long-ago Druid ancestors... I pretty much worship trees. (You may have noticed this elsewhere in my stream. Ahem. It's a powerful force.) So... to bring one in, and adorn it with lights and ornamentation, and spend many hours admiring it... living with it as a member of the family... well, it feels kind of right.

On the other hand... there is no escaping the fact that the trees we bring inside each year are dead. And worse - we killed them ourselves, with our own hands, and have the sap-stained clothes and gloves to attest to our act of, let's face it, murder.

It's always bugged me, but the final straw was Mike's comment on our watering system. We have this great set-up where... every time the tree takes a drink... we hear this musical glug-glug-gurgle. Our tradition has always been to raise our glasses in response, and drink (or eat, or make the motions thereof) in the tree's direction, and say something like, "Here's to you, tree!"

So... yeah. We've lived with this charade for years. And it was only in the past few weeks that we agreed the glug-glugging was, in fact, sinister. Equivalent, we decided, to the flopping and gasping a fish does out of water.

We have agreed (thank goodness) not to inflict that slow-death suffering on another good, honest tree this year. And I am so relieved.

Yes, I know there's the option of the "living tree," but that has its own problems. Kind of like bringing home a big Tyee salmon and watching it swim in a bowl for a few weeks. Conifers just weren't made to live indoors. Or die indoors. So I'll do my seasonal worshipping outdoors this year - in the trees' own living room, which is as it should be.

This car is a little worse for wear, now that it has a little plant growing out of some scratches. I think it gives it a nice naturey look, my dad doesn't agree :D

For Macro Monday : Transportation

Brisbane botanic gardens Saturday.

I've been meaning to upload a building/sea with a dramatic sky kind of shot, but summer's tend to be so unexciting when it comes to new sky material.

It's also a shame to be visiting all these new abandoned places, and not having either the time or computing power to bring them to life the way they deserve.

But, I'm terribly proud of this shot. I think it evokes an emotion, and would love this as an a0 canvas print.

Spring is finally here, although I found this more suitable in view of current global events...

I got Lego Dimensions and the portal pack and it is an amazing game! Batman in Springfield, Chel in the old west, Awesome!

After I played that for a while I got back into portal, and passed the first one in a few hours, so decided to make this little guy because the one that comes with the Portal pack is way too big.

Please comment if you favorite, and let me know what you think of Dimensions!

Think how much warmer that welcome would be if someone pushed that button and lit up the sign.

A rare foray from my office into town during daylight hours, but my eye is seriously tuned into the grim and the bleak.

I was beginning to think I wouldn't get any this autumn - then last night I got 3 together!! One has more black than the others and I was wondering if this is sexual dimorphism or just normal colour variation? Liden, Swindon, Wiltshire, UK. 2018-10-16.

The man stands between life and death.

The man thinks,

The horse thinks,

The sheep thinks,

The cow thinks,

The dog thinks.

The fish doesn't think.

The fish is mute.

Expressionless.

The fish doesn't think,

Because the fish knows

everything.
