Dont think just about your chance of getting infected.
Imagine that you do have the virus. ...and then change behaviour so that you are less likely to transmit it to others.
This virus needs us to to complacently interact to help it transmit. It needs us to ignore public health messaging. It needs us to not care about others that are more vulnerable than us.
Think social distancing, including children, & protecting older/vulnerable. We are going to be at this for a long time and we need to get good at it.
What happens in London over next few days will be mirrored in rest of UK in the following 14 days. We all have a role to play. ..both what we do and what we say to others.

I think getting one of the small birds in flight, in focus is all in the timing... and just plain luck of shutter control. In other words, it's flippin' hard! This is only the second time I've done it and I tried often in the last several winters.

I think it's a Rock Wren, but I can't be sure. I remember where I took the photo - rock wren territory - in the oak grass at about 700 feet. The reason this has been in storage so long is that as I photographed the tree stump, this little brown bird came in to see what I was up to, and then took off again. Good enough to keep, but not good enough to post. Still, all I am almost positive about is that it's a female, and the trunk is a century old and very dead oak tree.
This was the week before we left for Yellowstone and the Tetons, and I was practicing with my new SX50. It and I performed beautifully in both parks. Instead of a LBB, the first day in Yellowstone, I got six lifers! Too easy, really. Five Mountain Bluebirds in the first hour, and even an Osprey which perched with the sun in MY eyes. And then cross-bills, woodpeckers, grouse... And few people. The park "opened" the day after we left :-)

A few years ago I bought a Kodak Reflex 1A (the TLR, not the 35mm Retina Reflex) and did a few tests with it, but found the results universally disappointing. The Anastigmat lens it's equipped with is pretty sub-standard, IMO. It is grotesquely unsharp and loaded with aberration when used wide open (or close to it) and extremely prone to flare, as you can see in this example photo. But when stopped down to f11 or f16 it can make a reasonable image (I think this was shot at f11.5)
Kodak Tmax 400 shot at 200 ASA, developed in Adox XT-3, 1:1 for 9 minutes.
Note: after reviewing this recent roll of film shot with the Reflex 1A, I decided I had no further use for it and donated it to the local thrift shop. It wasn't worth the effort to re-roll film onto 620 spools.
Good Morning dear Flickr-Friends of Sunrises,
damn I think I slept 7 Minutes too long for the early sunrise. But on the other side it is brutal difficult to catch the right moment, if you are sleeping and dreaming about a perfect sunset over Bangkok. However, whatever... I for myself can say that I had this poodle syndrome, when I entered the balcony in the 30. floor of the hotel. So high, so nice.... ;))
I love this town with all it's elements.
These beautiful traffic infarcts, the wonderful smell of sulfur like in my old home in the Ruhr area. Only here comes the smell of roast chicken. Only here do I eat papaya salad and green curry at 7am. Whether with the sky train or the ship on the Chao Praya, everywhere these nice people who are staring at their mobile phones and always looking for this body contact, because the means of transport are always super crowded. On the next visit I will definitely go by scooter. Everyone drives in all directions but it never suffers anything. I already practiced in Thailand for 10 years, now I'm ready for Bangkok. I miss the stinking but fine durian fruits and the mangos and papayas. Green mangos with chilli sugar are especially delicious and of course Sticky Rice with mango too. A visit to the Cat Cafe. A bath in the crowd. Food on the street or in the market. And everywhere it is so loud ... that's enough for years. No, that's nice. I also want to eat at the main street again. Oh what am I telling there. Next year, I definitely want to stay longer in Bangkok. I am in love with this city.

I like the idea, but the executions a little off annoyingly. Still, at 4am I dont think I was quite on the ball!
Still, think it works okay, but I will defiantly try and do better next time.

I think I may have to renounce the people in my life who turn up their nose at me because they think I've become a bit 'flighty' lately. This is a ridiculous accusation.
I was always flighty, the fact that they understood such a core characteristic after such a long time makes me see them in a whole new light. The light is significantly dimmer in voltage.

I think this is stunning architecture! The station was designed by the architect John McAslan + Partners, and the renovation of the station, which to their credit, was completed in 2005, was done on schedule.

I think this will be the last of the series for now. I will keep working on some cinematic photos (editing old ones but also capturing new ones) but I will leave the Hong Kong theme behind. I still have a few decent shots left but they look very similar to the ones I already uploaded. It was a great trip and I was pleasently surprised. Being the first time to China I'm feeling like I will definetly go there again. Maybe Shanghai for the next time or even a roundtrip... I will have to think about it.
I hope you enjoyed the photos, I sure as hell had a great time shooting them.

I think this is an Oak Egger moth seen at Forvie NNR in Aberdeenshire.

Lasiocampa quercus, the Oak Eggar, is a common moth of the family Lasiocampidae found in Europe, including Britain and Ireland. It feeds on a variety of plant species (mainly heather and bilberry), and may develop over two years in higher latitudes, where it may be known as the Northern eggar. Its suffix quercus refers to the fact that its cocoon generally resembles an acorn, not that its primary food source is oak.

The National Wallace Monument on Abbey Craig above the Carse of Stirling in Scotland was erected in memory of Scotland's greatest hero, Sir William Wallace, who, in 1297 at the Battle of Stirling Bridge defeated the English army and "sent them homewards to think again".
Think these sawbill ducks are very attractive,esp, as in this case the females.This one was taken on the R.Bollin,close to Stockport in Cheshire.They can be difficult to tell apart from female Red Breasted Mergansers but the bill with the downturned tip is a give away along with the pattern on the rear of the back.They are also very shy and hard to approach
It’s been a lot of years since the Yellow Pages were pink and in this day of online access to everything you thought were important, even the yellow ones may eventually pass into history. But this wonderful pink door at West End in Brisbane caught my attention some time back. The house had been recently renovated and it was very fetching!

A light and agile battle tank, the Raptor is 23 studs long and finished! Sinc I last posted, I redesigned the hatches, moved the turret foreward, added mudguards, extended the skirt the full length of the treads, and reworked the front and back ends. I think I'm ready to move on, but this is one of those MOCs that will stay together a long time. Yay Tank!
