Texture Tuesday using "evolve". Kind of fuzzy from the start as I was shooting through a screen. I was surprised to see the grasshopper in her mouth when I uploaded it.

for 7DoS: another fisheye lens shot : I hope the crop doesn't distract from the distortion but the bottom of the original shot is mostly dirt and I don't feel to adds anything to the image. A problem with a fisheye lens is quite how much it captures ... I sometimes feel like it can see behind me ;)
nearly SOOC; minor color adjustments.
p.s. - this is my beloved dog, charlie. (king charles).

Used two layer of Kim's texture 'Poetic' and practiced lots of challenges from her Beyond Layers workshop: adjustment hue/saturation layer (to desaturate colors), high pass filter (for punching up the details) and a b/w gradient mask (reversed, so the foregd. was lightened and the sky area was darker).
My submission for this week's Texture Tuesday. Caught me by surprise this week because of yesterday's holiday. Shot this sweet flower several months ago at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens while photowalking with some friends during the Cocktails in the Gardens event. This week's challenge was to use the Cracker Jack texture. I used 2 layers of it.
Texture by Kim Klassen. Thank you Kim for all your wonderful freebies.

For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday...in Black and White!
I converted this image to black and white first; then added two of Kim's textures -
- Storm on Soft Light @ 89%
- Shades of November on Mulitiply@ 28%
I then desaturated to -75 and added the text (Chalkduster font)... Happy Tuesday!
7 Days of Shooting –
Week #15 (w/b 18 October) Vegetables - Vegetables are perfect subjects for photography. Fresh tomatoes, carrots, cauliflower, jalapeño and on and on! So, we should have a gallery of healthy photos so get down to your local Farmers’ Market and show us your best!!
Texture Tuesday - Texture in photography emphasizes features and details, so the detail in the surface of the object(s) you are photographing should be the most important feature of the image.

It's Texture Tuesday time! It's a day I look forward to each week. This image is from Colorado a few weeks ago. There were so many flowers in bloom I didn't know where to point my lens.
