This looks remarkably clean and new, considering it's a few years old and been in to a classroom with four and five year olds every working day! Time to hang up my old pencil case! At least I won't be needing it from Thurday this week, my first official day of retirement:-).

Texture Tuesday using "evolve". Kind of fuzzy from the start as I was shooting through a screen. I was surprised to see the grasshopper in her mouth when I uploaded it.

Continued practice from Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers e-Course. Textures used: urban. Also for Texture Tuesday.

Textures used: Fall In & Autumn Burst. Action by Coffee Shop: Velvet Cream.

for 7DoS: another fisheye lens shot : I hope the crop doesn't distract from the distortion but the bottom of the original shot is mostly dirt and I don't feel to adds anything to the image. A problem with a fisheye lens is quite how much it captures ... I sometimes feel like it can see behind me ;)

Imitation pear and leaf:-)

It was a lovely day to get outside at lunch. Shot for 7DOS, Texture Tuesday, low vantage point.

My submission for this week's Texture Tuesday. Caught me by surprise this week because of yesterday's holiday. Shot this sweet flower several months ago at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens while photowalking with some friends during the Cocktails in the Gardens event. This week's challenge was to use the Cracker Jack texture. I used 2 layers of it.

Used two layer of Kim's texture 'Poetic' and practiced lots of challenges from her Beyond Layers workshop: adjustment hue/saturation layer (to desaturate colors), high pass filter (for punching up the details) and a b/w gradient mask (reversed, so the foregd. was lightened and the sky area was darker).
