7 Days of Shooting. #49 - Toys - Texture Tuesday

A very quick texture for this Tuesday, another from Kim Klasson, I do so like the writing in the corners.

Feeling very sore after traction at physio this afternoon so sorry to post and run and hopefully will be back later to check out all your fabulous offerings !

A simple tool, designed and made by my husband Peter for pulling large logs instead of lifting them! * This is MY one...!!! * these are mostly sweet chestnut with some hornbeam from our 4 acres of neglected coppice with standards that we bought last year. We will continue to fell and tidy out fallen trees and weed trees and begin to get the coppice back onto a regular cycle for a sustainable production of firewood, building materials, furniture , charcoal , logs for edible mushroom cultivation etc , etc.

It's hard and physical but very, very enjoyable and satisfying work!

Beyond Layers- Kim Klassen T16 Texture. This saying hung in my Grandma's kitchen for as long as I can remember growing up. I must have read it thousands of times over the years. Its a part of me now so when I am talking I try to move my topics up the ladder... whoever aims to be small :-) Thanks Gram!

Another personal tradition is to collect pins symbolizing various events and put them on my hats. This is half of this one...
