I can't for the life of me keep an orchid alive.
I've had three or four but they never survive.
I may try once more in hopes to achieve,
the most beautiful flower I've ever perceived.

While traveling for work, before & after work are times I like to explore areas – sometimes my walks are a total bust, other times I find interesting things (at least to me)
What matters is to live in the present, live now, for every moment is now. It is your thoughts and acts of the moment that create your future. The outline of your future path already exists, for you created its pattern by your past.

When I arrived at Holy Island, I was shocked to find Lindisfarne Castle completed covered in scaffolding. That meant one thing - I had to abandon the main focal point and concentrate on creating something completely original - which in a world saturated with similar looking images at honeypot locations such as this was no bad thing. I spent some time sauntering about the famous upturned boats, trying to find a composition, but without finding the spark for something inspirational. Then, just as I was leaving the boat yard area, the sun found a gap in the clouds and struck the canvas of one of the boats. This made me take my camera back out and set up a shot whereby I managed to pull together a combination of three main elements - sun, textured canvas and the distant silhouetted boat.
