土城雅風─黃書墩

篆刻家黃書墩先生，字子圻，號鹿甫，因出生於鹿港，齋室名「友鹿軒」，曾獲美國休士頓第一屆世界藝術重要薪傳獎、及入編中國印學年鑑名人傳等，近年定居新北市土城，對土城文化藝術有許多貢獻，土城許多主要風景區之步道入口皆有其篆刻碑記作品，著力於篆刻藝術推廣與教學於落實生活化的藝術呈現，作品包括詩經大雅鹿鳴篇套印、瓷刻等作品，並獨到以陶瓷篆刻，具特殊雅趣，他說瓷刻留下刀趣讓人玩味，作品別具金石新貌。

Visitors to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts' special exhibition "Matisse: Masterworks from The Baltimore Museum of Art" (February 23-May 18, 2014) drew inspiration from Henri Matisse’s paper-cutout technique he called “drawing with scissors." They created their own colorful cut paper postcards and penned messages people who inspire them.

Su construcción se inició en l767, es de estilo barroco poblano. Su fachada está cubierta con ladrillos y azulejos, con aplicaciones de bellos mosaicos religiosos.

La portada es de cantera gris; tiene dos cuerpos con columnas toscanas, pilastras jónicas, acceso con arco de medio punto, ventana coral adintelada, nichos con esculturas, tableros, pináculos y frontón, destacan los retablos neoclásicos.

A chart I created on Arches 140 lb cold press watercolor paper. These pencils are OK, compared to the Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils.

'Town Centre Redevelopment: Keighley', The Murrayfield Real Estate Development Company Ltd., 1964. 16-page Presentation booklet outlining the vision for the redevelopment of Keighley town centre, including a pedestrianised shopping area, bus station and car park. This was the option selected by the Town Council and became the Airedale Shopping Centre. Includes foreword by Keighley town mayor Joseph Nolan (Mayor of Keighley Borough Council 1964/65).

The booklet has been scanned by Keighley and District Local History as an important document in the history of the town.

This is my wife's HTC EVO smartphone. Next to one particular dog of ours who likes to be, shall we say, vocal, it's one of the noisiest things in the house given all of the email, text messages, voice mails, and phone calls that come into it. Since I wasn't allowed to use a dog model for this one, I chose the phone for today's Daily Shoot challenge:

Make a photograph illustrating a sound that catches your ear today.

Strobist: Canon 430EX, 1/8 power, snooted, camera right, bouncing off of a white foam board that's to the left and angled over the top of the phone. A piece of aluminum foil is out of the frame to the right, and slightly behind the phone to pick up some bounce off of the board and provide a bit of separation. The phone is sitting on a piece of clear (but apparently dirty) plexiglass that's on a black tabletop. Strobe triggered with Cactus remote.
