Captain William Henderson was a Revolutionary soldier born in Virginia. He and his wife, Lockey Trigg, moved to Sumner County in the late 1790s and later bought property between Sanders Ferry and Walton Ferry Roads upon which they built a log home. The town of Hendersonville was named for him and he became the first postmaster in 1801. He was succeeded in office by two of his sons, Bennett, who served until 1811, and Littleton, who served until 1815. William Henderson was buried on this site around 1807.
**Note, this is in front of a doctors office or something and I did not notice any signs of a cemetery or gravesite anywhere.

This portrait was the most tedious project I've done so far this year in my 2D design class, but it was also my favorite one. We were required to use only type to create the portrait. In addition to the old magazines that my teacher provided, I also used my precious Japanese and Korean (thanks CJ) magazines...anything for art. I'm really satisfied with this project, and it actually looks like me.

It has been a long time I am with FLICKR

This billboard greeted people arriving to Juba in the months after the referendum. It has since been taken down. Although it was taken pre-independence, it's the perfect picture to begin a photo book documenting the first year in the birth of a nation. Enjoy!

In My House/ Your House, I also explore the idea of house; the image of a house as a metaphor of the place, the background, where people come from. I made the simple, abstract shape of the house in different ways, and each image accompanied by texts on the facing page. Depending on their experiences, people perceive things differently. Thus, as one decorates their own rooms, individual houses contain things differently, according to own preferences and “differences.”
