More tests with my metal sheet. Check my photo stream for 2 others.
Strobist: 3 light set-up. SB25 with a red gel up high zoomed to 28mm, 1/8th power, SB25 with blue gel low, camera right zoomed to 35mm 1/4 power, SB800 zoomed to 105mm 1/32 power pointing straight into my face.
The difference between these two shots is the focussing of the lens. I am standing in front of the red gelled strobe.

Test roll 1 from the Canon EOS 3. There's a bit of a learning curve, but all in all, I'm happy with the purchase.
There does seem to be a tendency to overexpose, which I'll need to work on.

This photo unlike the one below was taken with the rays of the setting sun as I peaked in to an antique Dodge from below.
As regards the changes to flickr, I like, even love some of it. Finally we can view our photos on black easily. I will not miss those tiny thumb prints. What I do miss is the choice of lay out of our own page. An endless stream of large photos is kinda overwhelming. I have trouble exiting the slide show, but again I love for a photo to be viewed as large as possible and on black. Flickr charged me $25 only days ago. My understanding is that my pro status will spare me their ads and that may be worth it, I am not sure, but there is an option for a refund, I will consider. I do not appreciate the surprise and also wished like so many expressed that we would have a choice to opt in or out.
What is your take?
This is a Test Train that I was a Train Captain on at The Railway Test Centre Derby England. I am the Short one This coach mainly worked the UK but It also did some Track testing in Spain. Sadly it was cut up after I retired like me it was getting too old.

First from a series of test shots from my new AlienBees. These things recharge blazingly fast, I had left my burst shutter mode on and it recharged fast enough a lot of times except when I had it on at full power. Nice, soft light from just the umbrella. I can't wait until I try the softbox. I used my ebay remotes since I didn't have an adapter for my Canon XTi and they worked great. Sync'ed only at 200 shutter speed.

Yesterday's posted photo was stuck in virtual world with only 16 views for the entire day. Comment and faves weren't showing correctly from as much as I could figured out. This is a test photo to see if this one does better...
Ahh, Flickr, faves and comments aren't showing up and view count seems to be off. Keep working.
On this picture you see a person in a LED-lit white suit that is testing illuminated banners and waving a flag in order to be able to communicate.

Or@ngepeel's turn to try to break into the by now legendary Olympus diptych camera... not to be defeated he tries the "phone a friend" option, but to no avail. Laura Mary looks on with little hope that her seemingly simple quest will bear fruit. Martin Homer seems to be having camera troubles of his own.
