Le test et des exemples de photos faites avec l'objectif Noct-NIKKOR Z 58 mm f/0,95 S

A Bristol Siddeley-Maybach MD655 engine, from a BR Western Region Class 52 diesel-hydraulic locomotive, under stationary test at Swindon Works. Taken on an open day, Saturday 13th September 1975. The engineer in charge ...a white-coated, bespectacled, middle-aged man... sat behind the window of a control room at the top of a flight of steps. From time to time he would notch up a handle on his console to increase the engine revs, which were displayed as flickering red numerals on a screen. In the confined space this produced a most satisfying din.

I got to serve as a chaperone for a field trip by Daniel's class in February, across the road from his school and down a little trail through the woods to the edge of the Nisqually River. Twice a year the 5th and 6th grade students in his Summit Class conduct water testing on the river, checking for dissolved oxygen, nitrates, turbidity, pH, and other factors. I was so impressed and proud of the kids, who dived into the project with the care and seriousness of real scientists. I wandered among the subgroups of kids taking pictures. This is one of my favorites, of two young scientists inspecting their sample of river water.

Mitering steel bicycle tubing in an Anvil mitering fixture on a 1963 TOS FN22 milling machine with a new cutter. 100rpm and a slow feed. A wee bit of smoke, but that's just the cutting fluid. Soundtrack: Derail and demise, by Tommy Tokyo & Starving for My Gravy

This isn't the final, but it's very close! The orange piece was mostly used to test out various adhesives and see which one would make for the best glue joint while also being the most hidden and clear during assembly

Pilatus brought the prototype of their PC-24 bizjet to Cranfield this week for water ingestion trials. There's an area of the runway that they flood with water and then drive through it at high speed, making a very big splash!

Sadly, I didn't have time to get in a better position for pictures so had to put up with this long range shot as she turned off the runway after one such run.

So this dude was definitely just a test model for another shoot, but he looked amazing and go figure I'd love some of the shots I took of him more than those from the actual shoot. :s

This is a test shot.

I've never used this new computer before, not shot a photo to edit up in a few years (I'm getting back to this camera thing), Canon's DDP and Photomatix have really improved since I used them about 10 years back.

I was SO happy I got my camera back after I broke it. I took this test shot and then shut it off to put the picture on my computer. I turned it on again, then turned it off again. But it wouldn't close. I kept getting an error message: Lens Error Restart Camera.

I am so upset. I am going back to the place tomorrow, but I have a feeling I'm stuck with a broken camera and I'm out $50 that could have went toward another camera!
