Dye is canned beets, diluted in whatever comes with canned beets. Supposedly just salt and water. The mixture was dripped through a coffee filter to remove debris. Alcohol was added to increase dilution.

When I received the Yashica Lynx 14E yesterday, I was amazed with the lens. After some quick-fixed cleaning (and given up on the meter), the camera was loaded with expired Gold 100 and I took it out for test drive. Since it was almost dark, I managed some low light and night shots. During tea-break today, I took the camera out for a walk around my workplace and finished off the roll. This is one of the result.

A quick shot with my new camera. Just testing and getting to know it. I took it when the camera arrived but had to wait for a new card reader and then Christmas got in the way. The flash has caught her eyes a little bit but it was only the pop up so not too bad. This will be a big change from my little D60, a huge amount to learn.
I took my car for its test today to the ITV centre at San Bartholeme.
First off you go to the office to register and pay and then wait in a queue for your test. When your car is called, you drive into the garage.
1. You sit in the car and follow the instructions whilst the technician checks the lights, front wipers, seat belts and the horn are working and he also checks the oil level.
2. The technician then drives your car forward for the brake tests on a rolling road.
3. He then moves your car forward again and performs the emission and noise level tests.
4. You get back into the car and drive it over a pit where a quick visual check is performed of the underside.
That is it - less than fifteen minutes in total. All that is left is for you to park the car up and collect your certificate and the all important sticker for the windscreen.
