Tested the built in HDR mode of the RX100. This one is quite OOC. I just turned down the yellow in Lightroom a bit.
I normally do not like HDR - but this one looks quite pleasing.
Tests with a Lomo anamorphic 2x lens. Will not achieve infinity focus apparently. Still interesting, though.
Basically I just held the anamorphic element up in front of my Nikon 85mm f/1.8 and there was no way to get it to hold focus properly.
Interestingly, the 2x squeeze coupled with the 3:2 ratio of the D700 yields a 3:1 widescreen image, which is wider than any of the anamorphic cinema images. Even Cinerama was only 2.89:1. If this actually worked it would be pretty cool.

It was cold, you can't see the south side of the lake, but it is still lined with snow banks, with the occasional calving off.
Taken with my new Ricoh GRD III. I went out at lunchtime today and had a walk around sheffield. I was looking to test the performance of this amazing little camera.

Testing out a Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8G AF-S ED-IF VR with TC-17E II teleconverter on a very cooperative Willet at Shoreline Lake. Much more fun than shooting test charts any day in my opinion!

Close-up focus test of the new Nikon 1 V3 stock kit lens "NIKKOR VR 10-30mm". These tomatoes are only about 1.5 inches wide (3.81 centimeters).
Testing Lamy ink for review. This is a test on an index card. See the notes for what the bits are. Next pic in the photostream is more testing - same stuff in a Moleskine, and the PigPog Smudge Test.
The plan is to do this same pattern with a few different inks, as a way of comparing. If anyone's got any ideas on better ways of doing it, I'd love to hear them.

I'm testing the blue watercolor pigments I have on hand - Lucas and Grumbacher - in my quest to paint with two waterbrushes (one filled with a warm color and one with a cool). The indigo looks interesting, but it's too dark a value. Ultramarine mixes well with burnt umber and burnt sienna. I really like a mix of Payne's gray and cobalt. Next I need to test these in the waterbrush and see how they look and mix with the warm color.
