Thanks to some timely texts from Mark M. while bouncing around East St. Louis, IL looking for trains, I was able to head over to St. Louis, MO in time to catch Terminal Railroad GP38-3's 2001 and 2004 bringing Job 201 and four passenger cars down the high line and past Laclede's Landing. The special will terminate at Union Station, where a number of these and other private cars are typically stored. Looming overhead is the Martin Luther King bridge. In the background is the still somewhat swollen Mississippi river.
The action is heavy at CP Junction in Brooklyn, IL as T101 on the right prepares to blast off down the Illinois Transfer towards interchange with A&S Gateway Yard, while a trim job on the left shoves back into TRRA Madison Yard. Decent side-by-side considering there's a noticeable button push-to-shutter release delay on these flying cameras.
In the left background, an A&S 101 transfer has just come up from Gateway Yard via the Wiggins Main and prepares to yard the train.
Something different from my usual style.
Pictures with cinematic look & feel.
Thanks for watching. Your comments and favorites are gratefully appreciated!

TRRA's 201 job made quick work of departing Madison Yard and rolling through St. Louis on this late afternoon. With the early sunsets, it's a tough job to catch with any daylight. We found some rays of light at Compton Ave and luckily, nothing was parked on any of the "High Speed" tracks.

This terminal was still on but it really looked like there wasn’t any activity.
For a photo story from Jutland (and Copenhagen):
There was an architectural period where they looked at the functionality of steel and glass. The terminal at Victoria st London is a good example of that thinking.
I boldly took this shot from a moving ferry as it approached the Passenger Terminal at Sydney's Circular Quay. Was surprised at what I got considering the the light and movement of the ferry.
Getting underway from the Mistersky fuel dock in Detroit, The WILFRED SYKES passes the old Detroit Harbor Terminals warehouse that is currently being demolished.
Union Terminal in Cincinnati, Ohio has a significant amount of history behind it. Its Art Deco halls have hosted everything from trains, to movie theaters, to a department store. It's now home to several prominent museums on its lower floors. Its interior dome is one of the largest in the world.
I stood all the way in one of the corners of the lobby and took about twenty photos to create this panoramic view including the terminal's concentric ceiling.

Brooklyn Army Terminal. This former army terminal is being transformed into a modern manufacturing and commercial centre.
I have something of an ongoing love affair with Reagan National Airport's old terminal. If you're lucky enough to fly through, take some time to soak it up because they don't make them like they used to.
Quite a consist and crowd for an Illinois Terminal fantrip at Springfield IL. No date. Taken by the Late Bob Konsbruck, from my collection.
Terminal 21 brings the dream of traveling the world to downtown Bangkok, with its cutting-edge concept that places several world-famous cities under one roof. Find yourself wandering around a maze of shops in Tokyo City, sauntering down London’s Carnaby Street, bagging a bargain in an Istanbul zouk, or shopping for something to fill your growling stomach at the Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco.
