Continuing with my Experiments using High Contrast Films in my Very Old Dark Brown RODINAL I tested some outdated Kodak TECHNICAL PAN 35mm then loaded a 11/1993 dated 120 into my MAMIYA C220 + 80mm f2.8 'Blue Dot Sekor' and developed in my RODINAL diluted 1+30 for 10 mins @ 20oC. The negatives were fantastically SHARP ! Also, the Contrast was well controlled. I rated film at 25 ASA but I could have used 40 ASA as some negs were a bit dense. I used a MONOPOD to steady camera as I was getting mainly 1/30th second. Fantastic Detail here in Crown Street Brentwood -- under x6 Magnifier all the bricks are resolved even in the distance. 1/30th @ f6.3

The Toledo Peoria & Western owned, and operated a pair of ALCo RS11's, 400 & 401. The 400 was severely damaged in an accident, and rather than scrap the locomotive, the 400 was rebuilt into a snowplow. Compared to 400, the 401 lived a charmed life. The 401 had here short hood chopped, and even received the newest paint scheme the TP&W used before the merger with the Santa Fe. While I normally paint a locomotive in it's "as delivered" paint, here is RS11 401 as she appeared just before the Santa Fe merger.

The Burgtor (Castle Gate) shown in the photo above was built after the Castle at Rothenburg was destroyed in an earthquake in 1356. The two round buildings, which were built before 1600, are the former guard house and the customs house where travelers entering the town from the Tauber valley had to pay a toll.
The Rothenburg Castle was built around 1142 in the location of the present Burg garden. One of the original castle buildings was rebuilt around 1400 .

Today's OARCB (old ass rivet counter boomer) mundane high sun, silver box, gravel pile, leaning, wirey, mindless wedgie!
We are once again at Rosemont and #143 has blessed us with some wings yesterday, February 17, 2025. It just doesn't get any better than this! (Shorter today. You're welcome.)
