During the motif design drove random (but very welcome) the balloon over the river Moselle. I hope you enjoy it and wish you all a nice weekend.
And thank you for the view and comment on my pictures.

Hear the sledges with the bells-
Silver bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,
In the icy air of night!
While the stars that oversprinkle
All the heavens, seem to twinkle
With a crystalline delight;
Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
Bells, bells, bells-
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.
Edgar Allan Poe
The sky around the Kelpies was mostly cloudy, but was clearer further east, so the sunrise created this colourful backdrop for me.
…as the balloons drift slowly their chase vehicles raised some dust on the back dirt roads of the Iowa countryside.
I went with B&W to keep unity with vehicle colors and designs but just had to leave the balloons in color, after all that’s what we were chasing. HSS!

"What does the brook say to you,
At dawn when it flushes,
And kisses the rushes.
With murmurs and blushes?
As it sings,
Does it tell you of wonderful things,
Till you think every wish must come true?
For I do —
What does the brook say to you?
What does the brook say to you.
When the sun hangs its head.
When the west is all red,
And the day is near sped?
As it flows ;
Does it promise surcease of all woes,
Till you thrill with a hope that is new?
For I do -
What does the brook say to you?
What does the brook say to you,
When the moonlight in streams,
Like a shower of dreams.
On its dark surface gleams?
As it sighs
Does it bring faltering tears to your eyes.
Till you long for forgiveness to sue?
For I do -
What does the brook say to you?
Love, does the brook say to you.
In the dark, in the light.
In the day, in the night,
In despair, in delight.
As it rolls,
That one are our hearts and our souls,
For life, and eternity too?
For I do.
What does the brook say to you?"
- Ruth Lawrence, "The Brook"
Mwnt Church (or the Church of the Holy Cross at Mwnt) has stood on this idyllic spot since the early 13th century. A popular visitor attraction, this Grade I listed building is well worth a visit if you’re in the area.
Dating from the 14th Century, it is basically a Pilgrimage Church, rather than a Parish one as it was on the main route to Bardsey Island and St Davids – both prime destinations for penitents in the Middle Ages (three pilgrimages to Bardsey were accounted the equal of one to Rome).
The Fortified Town in Fredrikstad, Norway was founded Sept 1567 by King Frederik II. It is very well preserved and worth a visit.

A walk through the Narrows of the Virgin River in Zion National Park is always a special experience. Once in the morning the sun is higher the sunlight reflected from the rocks indirectly to the bottom of the canyon , so that the water glows gold (September-11, 2008, 11:04 am)

The Fintele, near Polinkhove, is a place where the river "Yzer" leaves its banks after heavy rainfall. It is a natural flood area and home to many birds.
The river in full melt rush after a few days of record heat. The snow is washing away as the fire danger increases. No longer a clear stream. Thanks for looking and hope to be around soon as have been quite busy.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday!
Thank you for your support and visit!
The major solar storm that was supposed to happen last night never developed. This crown like formation was one of the best of the night. A long climb up the mountain wasn't totally wasted. I came away great milky way and northern light shots.

A shot I took in the spring of 2021 and also one I had wanted to post for a long time. There was always something else to post first.
What I like about spring is the wonderful light during most of the day, and here this pheasant couple is enjoying (?) the spring sun, while the male is keeping an eye on the lady. He definitively has made up his mind she is not escaping him.
The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of a world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found? J. B. Priestley
The Waxenstein peak
A really hard and difficult mountain for climbing but a stunning scene for photographers.Specially with the lake in the frame .Frozen and a small layer of water on it to complete a beautiful reflection.Looking forward for a big storm, behind me begins to rain and the haze looks like snow on the peaks.

he Shadows, with Cliff Richard, dominated British popular music in the late 1950s and early 1960s in the years before the Beatles. The Shadows' number one hits included "Apache", "Kon-Tiki", "Wonderful Land", "Foot Tapper" and "Dance On!". Although these and most of their best-remembered hits were instrumentals, the group also recorded occasional vocal numbers, and hit the UK top ten with the group-sung "Don't Make My Baby Blue" in 1965. Four other vocal songs by the Shadows also made the UK charts. They disbanded in 1968, but reunited in the 1970s for further commercial success.

The 1900 apartment building is located at 317 Bleecker in Manhattan. The monogrammed "G" on the fire escape were added around the 1940's and perhaps represent the cross street the building is near,Groves St.If you view larger you'll see some faces near the center.I personally like the fire escape reflection in the window.

The forest is a dark place, the border to many kingdoms; no-one would be foolish enough to claim jurisdiction over it. Outlaws live in the forest. Robbers live in the forest, and so do wolves. You can ride through the forest for a dozen days and never see a soul; but there are eyes upon you the entire time

~~The beginning of a new dune:
A dune is a mound of sand formed by the wind, usually along the beach or in a desert. Dunes form when wind blows sand into a sheltered area behind an obstacle. Dunes grow as grains of sand accumulate.
Every dune has a windward side and a slipface. A dunes windward side is the side where the wind is blowing and pushing material up. A dunes slip face is simply the side without wind. A slipface is usually smoother than a dunes windward side.~~
