Introduction to integrated farming system: Integrated farming means combining crop production with livestock management that complement each other in a way that is a well-symbiotic relationship that is currently economically viable and profitable, environmentally friendly, and benefiting from the diversity of production. In the integrated farming system, agriculture can be integrated with livestock, poultry, and fish are kept in one place to create year-round employment and additional income.

For example, keep poultry in the top layer and use their excreta. Pigs live in the lower layers, and the remaining water from the pond is used for agriculture and fodder crops. We can see in many villages that coconut groves are connected with fodder and allow cattle and native chickens to graze in the pastures. The emissions can be recycled as fertilizer for orchards as well as fodder crops, called integrated farming.
It refers to an agricultural system that integrates the production of livestock and crops. In addition, the system will help poor small farmers, who have very little land to grow crops and diversify their crop production, increase cash income, improve the quality and quantity of productive food and it will help in the exploitation of unutilized resources.

This exhibit showcases the results of the Fall 2022 course Material Systems: Digital Design and Fabrication offered at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD). For over a decade, faculty from the GSD have collaborated with the Harvard Ceramics Program to offer an experiential learning opportunity for design students that links research and experimentation in emerging digital technologies with the context of ceramic material systems. The course combines technological developments relating to the way in which things are designed (digital modeling, simulation, generative design, etc.) and the way things are made (automation, computer-controlled equipment including robotics, advanced materials, etc.) in search of new opportunities. Each object exhibited here is the result of prototyping and experimentation during the pursuit of a research question – it represents a step in a process of exploration, rather than a finished product.

Weather update:
A frontal system was moving thru the region this day (with another off the coast). These systems were to bring periods of rain to Northern California this day thru Friday afternoon... There was to be a brief break between systems late Friday and early Saturday. Then by Saturday afternoon, a large low pressure trough was to approach the coast. After observing an atmospheric river event earlier this month, we were in for more rainy weather. This system was to bring rain and gusty southerly winds Saturday afternoon thru Monday afternoon. By late Monday, the low was to be east of our area and high pressure was to rebuild along the coast. This would in turn bring mostly sunny skies and slightly above normal temps to the region...
