Controlli ambientali molto rigorosi, lo strumento di misurazione della torbidità (turbidimetro) si attiva ogni 15 secondi. Dalla vasca parte il tubo (fangodotto) che per gravità trasporta (parzialmente pieno) il liquido con i fanghi allo scarico in una cascata della diga. Posizionamento fuori terra della tubazione PP corrugata a doppia parete SN16 su versante scosceso, con oggettive difficoltà cantieristiche di realizzazione e di sicurezza degli operatori. Movimentazione tubi in loco tramite elicottero. Il sistema Cor+ è stato scelto principalmente per:
- maggiore leggerezza (rispetto ad altri tipi di tubazioni)
- facilità di giunzione nelle condizioni operative specifiche
- elevata capacità di tenuta meccanica anti sfilamento
- elevata affidabilità di tenuta idraulica
- elevata resistenza all'abrasione
La scelta ha consentito di svolgere il lavoro con maggiore velocità e sicurezza per gli operatori (rispetto ai tubi di acciaio previsti a progetto), oltre che per il conseguimento di sensibili economie generali
Evacuation system of 15,000 cubic meters of stagnant sludge on the bottom of the dam lake. Sludge lifting altitude = 70 m for placing in the disconnection tank. Dilution of sludge with water to comply with the concentration limits set by law. Very rigorous environmental controls, the turbidity measuring instrument (turbidimeter) activates every 15 seconds. From the tank starts the pipe (sludge pipeline) which by gravity transports (partially full) the liquid with the sludge to the discharge in a cascade of the dam. Above ground positioning of the double wall corrugated PP pipe SN16 on a steep slope, with objective construction site difficulties and operator safety. On-site pipe handling by helicopter. The Cor+ system was chosen mainly for:
- greater lightness (compared to other types of pipes)
- ease of joining under specific operating conditions
- high capacity of anti-slip mechanical seal
- high reliability of hydraulic seal
- high resistance to abrasion
The choice made it possible to carry out the work with greater speed and safety for the operators (compared to the steel pipes prescribed in the project), as well as for the achievement of significant general savings

Today's VIS image shows a section of Mangala Valles. Mangala Valles is a complex channel more than 900km long (560 miles). The channel system starts near Mangala Fossae, a large tectonic feature that intersects the volcanic plains of Daedalia Planum. Like other channels in the region, Mangala Valles flows northward, eventually emptying into southern Amazonis Planitia.

An abandoned bus rests on a levee road along the side of a paved highway in the Sacramento Delta region. I arrived at this location before sunrise and waited for the morning light. Luckily it hadn't started raining yet. I set-up my tripod on the side of the highway to get this photo. It was all ready extremely windy. As the sun rose the traffic increased. Big rigs blew by me, so close that I had to hold the tripod down. One idiot thought it would be funny to try to swerve his car as close to me as possible without actually hitting me. That was an extremely scary experience. I wasn't paying attention to the traffic, but when I felt that car get close, I couldn't believe that someone would even joke like that.

TECON Climbing formwork system mainly includes Self-climbing Formwork TSC80, Jump Climbing Formwork CB180/240, Dam Formwork DB180/240 and Multi-function Climbing Formwork MB180.
Self-climbing formwork TSC80 can climb by itself via hydraulic cylinder, while Formwork CB180/240 can only climb via tower crane lift. Dam Formwork DB180/240 can fabricate both single side wall and double side wall without any tie rod pull through. Multi-function Climbing Formwork MB180 is always guided by its rail during climbing, and it can climb freely with or without tower crane lift sine it has its own mobile hydraulic cylinder.
They are widely used in high-rise buildings, bridge pylons, concrete tanks and other civil engineering project.
