I have always loved album art. My father has a whole treasure trove sitting in the closet and he won't let me "borrow" his Technics turntable from way back when (I plan on putting the albums up in my loft soon). I've always been into music because of him and that glorious marvel that WAS MTV as a kid in the 80s. And growing up I always worked and had extra cash to blow at Lou's Records, Just Play Music, or whatever place I could get my fix.
I loved the art, the liner notes, the thank yous, etc. It killed me when my first book of 200 CDs (and guitar) was stolen out of my car while working at Legoland living Kevin Spacey's dream. Home owners insurance covered the stolen discs IF I sent in the album covers. At which point I went on a massive spending spree, only to find them ripped off again by the crackheads in Home Depots parking lot while I returned their stolen goods for cash. Insurance covers again and drops me. Go on another binge... Only to have that book stolen again when ghetto rats threw spark plugs through my car window. Such a vicious cycle. Obviously I don't bring all my CDs anymore (but I don't own an iPod).
Well, this is what I have left and the collection keeps growing thanks to Used CDs online for under $10. Now it's all a pile in the corner of my room until I figure out how I'm going to put this mess up on my wall.
Fuck Bush, Cheney, and all the war criminals current and former in that vile institution we call Washington.
Vote Ron Paul. Vote Kucinich. Vote for anything but politics as usual.
trying out rendering some hair / fur using blender. i faithfully followed an excellent tutorial at blenderguru.com (great stuff).
Another old village overtaken by post war housing. It also has an awful one way system without signs to the church, you think you are almost there and discover you can't get through to it and I had to go around a second time!
The church has a small Somerset tower, but this and the church rendered in a disappointing grey finish. The interior is unexpected from the outide as there is a Tuscan arcade in an otherwise Perp-looking church. The aisle was added in 1814 and the nave rebuilt. The chancel followed some twenty years later. Another Perp stone pulpit, but here it has been painted - hideous! The most-prized posession is the square Norman font bowl (base with five columns Victorian) with figures at the angle with outstretched arms across the patterned faces.
As for locking at Locking, I found it locked, but once again I got the key from a different vicar at the house opposite (I was last here in the 1980s.)
The York Solar System Route, www.solar.york.ac.uk rather helpfully you only get to see this map halfway between Jupiter and Saturn! I think it makes more sense to show this at the start of my journey.
Commonly, a system failure will cause the system to freeze, reboot, and/or stop functioning altogether.

She said after this picture was taken that she was done being my little model ! Here I found myself using a new trigger system. Cactus V5's, all indications so far are great, for what I need. Here I had one Nikon SB-900 at Full Power using a white reflective umbrella about 10 feet high at a 45 degree angle. I also had another SB-900 behind her at 1/8th power with a 50mm zoom bare head aimed at the shoulders. Camera settings were ISO 100 125th at f/8.
my later Duplo (2008-2010) and System (2003-2010) promotional showcase (missing 2008 amazing machines from the UK and a few recent ones) just before expanding the setup from five to seven showcases - January 2011
This is a project that I did for the Milwaukee Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative (an organization that works on improving neighborhoods). I design the entire new identity system for them. They want something unique yet well represent their organization. The design is currently under consideration from the client. It may or may not be used.
This is the series of logos designed for each of the area that they are responsible for. It is actually very simple, picking a certain thing from the neighborhood, quickly trace it, and apply the font. It is beautifully unique and easy to do.
