The Novoflex system was designed in Germany in the late 1950's as a rapid focusing system that employs a pistol grip. Before autofocus, this was the fastest focusing system available. I prefer it to autofocus when shooting wildlife because I can chose what I want to be in focus. This system includes 240mm, 400mm and 640mm interchangable lens heads. Novoflex designed the system with adapters for virtually every camera body that accepted interchangable lenses. I like them because I have a number of different camera bodies and I can adapt the lenses to any body I have.

Public transportation in Berlin is pretty amazing. We hardly had to walk at all. One of my favorite parts was learning pronunciation from the voice that called out the names of each stop.

Football Pro is a retail store at the centre of Athens, focused on football apparel branded by Nike & Adidas. The Birthdays Design and Markos Zouridakis were commissioned to design the store’s visual identity in a football representative way and worthy of the brands hosted. Another point was to follow and develop the already existing identity.
Because of the extent and the different surfaces, a three-axis visual system has been developed in a variety of applications such as panels, cashier, posters, columns, etc.
The common basis of all three is typography, as a vehicle of incitement, action and emotion. The first axis has basic shapes, composing dynamic directions in space. The second carries typographic systems, claiming the typology of football by highlighting its archival character. The third axis, is the collage technique combined by the two previous, and enhances the legacy, the unforgivable figures, the atmosphere of the game, in action and in emotion.
The above are conceived to create a language for all, small-sized (academies of children, groups) - professionals and non-professionals, fans and non-members.

Spent all week noodling about this. The small slicks for minifigure race cars perfectly grip a 1 stud brick if the centers of the axles are 7 plates apart. The left bogie is driven, the middle bogie isn't and the right one just demonstrates how it would attach to a car (I'm using a few placeholder pieces for things I don't have handy). The track section on the bottom are for articulated sections of switching track.

This is a new sculpture of Bård Breivik (March 2010), in the City Park of Bergen.
The four walls of the cube represent four Physics phenomema: Orion's Belt, High C, Doppler Chamber Tone A, and Fractals.
It will be used as a wall relief on the outer walls of the new building for the Institute of Informatics at the University of Oslo.
This is a great pair of used Tannoy System 800A active monitors. They are fully functional and in good cosmetic condition. Power cables and original manuals included.

We have redundant systems to ensure that drivers don't unintentionally enter the express lanes the wrong way at Northgate, the farthest north entrance, and James Street, the farthest south entrance, because that's where the highest number of vehicles enter.
We have multiple gates, called slash gates (like this), signs that read "closed", dragnets (see previous) and overhead and side-mounted signs that read "closed" or "Do Not Enter."
It's rare that someone unintentionally enters the express lanes from either the north or south entrance.
Does it ever happen? Yes. Bill Churney says there are occasions when he's doing the final sweep of the express lanes to make sure they are clear of debris and someone enters the express lanes before he's flipped the open switch. He says it's scary to see a car coming at him from the opposite direction.
He says some people are on autamtic pilot and don't even look up to see the sign that says closed.

FORT SILL, Okla. (March 3, 2017) – Soldiers view live-stream full-motion video from unmanned aerial vehicles via a smartphone. They access 3D digital maps to send precision target coordinates. Soldiers are relying on these advanced technologies to improve lethality and maintain battlefield dominance.
These are among the improvements that will be embedded in future fire-support capabilities.
The Army has started testing four upgraded systems for its Field Artillery units to provide more accurate and timely fire support to maneuver formations. Fielding is scheduled to begin in fall 2017.
“These improved capabilities allow us to be lighter, faster and more lethal by optimizing the sensor-to-shooter digital chain,” said Lt. Col. Kevin Taylor, commander of 3rd Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division (Artillery). “They assist us in providing faster, more accurate firing data to our cannon crews, enhancing our effectiveness on the battlefield.”
Nineteen Soldiers from Fort Bragg, North Carolina, recently completed three weeks of classroom and field training and assessments at Fort Sill. They are the first group of Soldiers to place the fire mission systems through rigorous testing.

"Lehigh" car No. 271 came to Oakland, CA in 1901. Its nickname is from the Lehigh Valley Transit Co. of PA, which ordered the cars but could not pay for them. It was retired from Oakland's Key System and sold to the California (now, Western) Railway Museum in 1946.

1 to 38,000,000 scale model of our solar system, using the dome of the Anglo-Australian Telescope as the Sun. The amazing aspect of this model is that the same scale is used for both the distances and sizes of the planets, which means that the outer planets are a LONG way from Siding Spring.
This is the main domestic water spring, which runs all year round, though only a drip in the summer. The water is fed into a 500 gallon tank, so every drop is saved, and the overflow which is not used in the house is fed into the hydro power system.
