Not sure what it's covering (bullet hole?), but this has to be an electrician's truck. It's even sealed with caulk. Bumper stickers: LIBERTARIAN and Calvin peeing on "Obama."
This is the real deal! Analog, medium format, 120 black-and-white film shooting big steam out on the line. No b/w conversions, no fake film grain...this is THE stuff!
I did make some contrast/level adjustments and added the border myself; but the rest is "as-is".

First time I've managed to catch a train on the C&F Secondary. The boxcars at PCA will have to wait a while, for the sole unit to finish shuffling cars at one of the many cold storage warehouses.

This shot was taken for the center span at the height of the Lift 100 event. Unfortunately things didn't go exactly as planned. The plan was to raise the bridge kill the lights and activate the installation. However no one ever showed the bridge operator on duty how to kill the lights on the bridge. So the operator stated to flip all the breakers and in the process she killed the power to the installation. Which in turn messed up the programming for the lights. Sadly these things happen when your working with the city. The good new is that we have a whole week to work out the kinks and get it dialed in. Come next Saturday the Hawthorn Bridge is going to be a colorful spectacle for all to see and party on.

A freight terminal for switching on the Waukon Mineral & Addison railroad representing 1918. This railroad has a fair number of car ferries and other waterfront features, including operating pontoon and lift bridges. Fun to operate!
