i mounted the switch in an area that i could reach while wearing the helmet. this is on the side of the head, right under the vents.
On any given day i probably swap my headphone between ipod and computer at least 10 times. I don't store my music on my work laptop, so all my playlists are on the ipod, but sometimes i need to test audio on the computer. Swapping has been annoying me.
Didn't see what i wanted in Maplins (2 inputs to one output) so i made it, thus further enforcing the notion that laziness breeds invention.
The quality of the wire i used to put it together it up isn't great, so i might need to get on that with some real stuff.

Copenhagen-based Ronja Svaneborg creates works that transform very ordinary objects from our domestic landscape into strange, alarming installations. In her hands, the furniture of rooms that we encounter daily, like light fittings and switches, become ominous portents of our shared future. ‘In Denial’ sees future blackouts as something poetic, threatening and uncanny. The work is a kind of funereal monument or memorial to a former industrial age. Incandescant light bulbs are no longer manufactured, and are now effectively relics from another era – a redundant technology like Victorian gas lights or Georgian animal-fat candles. They are, in effect, symbols of the last century: a technology that lasted not much over a hundred years. Svaneborg’s protective leather casings are devices for the conservation of our industrial heritage – aimed at preserving these fragile artefacts for future generations. Or are they? What are we ‘in denial’ about? That when fossil fuels are exhausted, modern life as we know it will come to an end?
The 2017 Christmas light switch-on at The Moot Hall, Brampton, Cumbria
Brampton Christmas lights switch-on Sunday 26th November. The town gathers around The Moot Hall and a procession makes it's way down Front Street to the Marketplace. Free refreshments were available in the Moot Hall. Entertainment included Warwick Bridge Primary School choir, Carlisle Dance Academy, Nikki, Cheeky Charlie and Joesph's amazing camels. Another great event, well done Brampton!
Christmas Lights Switch-On at Carlisle City Centre
Organised by Carlisle City Council, this free event will provide a packed family entertainment programme, to suit all ages. The star-studded Carlisle Christmas Lights Switch On stage will be in place in the city centre pedestrianised area, outside the Old Town Hall.
X Factor finalists ‘5 After Midnight’ will headline Carlisle’s Christmas Lights Switch-On event this year.
5 After Midnight rose to fame on The X Factor 2016 where they wowed TV audiences of millions week after week with their slick vocals and high energy dance routines, quickly gaining themselves a loyal fan base. Following the finale of the series, they signed to Syco Music, whose roster includes fellow X Factor alumni including Little Mix, Louis Tomlinson, James Arthur and Ella Henderson. 5 After Midnight are set to release four new tracks as part of a new EP called ‘The Sauce’ as anticipation for their debut album builds.
The 2016 finalists will be joined by other celebrity acts, The Beatbox Collective and Taken.
The Beatbox Collective are the reigning world beatbox champions. Individually they have won almost every beatbox competition in the world... together this vocal group creates a wall of sound.
Dublin's newest up and coming boyband 'Taken' have gone from strength to strength this last year. Made up of Ste Barron, Eoghan Mac Mahon and Richard Power, the band have toured the UK supporting acts including The Vamps and Union J, as well as headlining their own European tour this Autumn with multiple sell out shows in the likes of Newcastle, Glasgow, Dublin and Amsterdam.
Local dance groups and school choirs will join the celebrity acts at this year’s Carlisle Christmas Lights Switch On. There will be a showcase of local community groups and performers - Stevie D’s Faith, The Lakes Choir - Stagecoach Performing Arts; Kira Tickner; Carlisle Dance Academy and Stanwix Primary School.
The afternoon’s entertainment will also include a ‘stars of the future’ line up, including Jack Rose; Nathan Grisdale, Joseph and Thomas Teago.
The Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr Trish Vasey will trigger the lights in the city centre at 17:00. The Christmas Lights Switch-On is part of Carlisle's countdown to Christmas.

After breaking ground less than a year ago, construction of the new Virginia Beach Animal Care & Adoption Center is complete. The city officially dedicated the new $12.5 million, 38,000 square-foot facility that sits on 5.14 acres. This new state-of-the-art green facility replaces the current 8,461 square-foot building on Leroy Road that was constructed in 1974. It features extra room to house the city's troubled, lost or homeless pets, a full veterinary clinic, a grooming salon and space for horses, chickens and other livestock. The new shelter can house up to 192 dogs, 129 cats, and 20 pocket/exotic pets. More important, the shelter is designed to encourage adoptions and prevent the spread of disease, such as a 2009 parvo outbreak that killed at least 30 dogs. It's equipped with a rainwater collection system, geothermal heating and cooling, automatic light switches and solar hot water.

I missed the Switch photo contest deadline by less than 30 minutes because I didn’t realise Korean time is ahead of ours oTL I thought I had enough time to finish up a faceup commission but I was wrong :c

January 23, 2020 - Thanks Ragnhild Moyer for this photo which was taken as we were about to transfer from our broken down Zodiac to the empty Zodiac in the foreground.
Our final Zodiac wildlife cruise this afternoon occurred around the ice-covered Melchior Islands which are located in the center of Dallmann Bay and the Palmer Archipelago.
Our Zodiac broke down mid-cruise and we had to transfer to another Zodiac which was a fun experience!
Wildlife seen on our cruise: Weddell Seal, Antarctic Cormorant, Antarctic Terns, Kelp Gulls and Salp.
