Found this one - KCS ES44AC 4707 is switching in the rail yard in Artesia, Mississippi. I got permission to be on the property from a KCS employee. Note the crew man on the long end of the locomotive .

Prairie Line SD40-2 #3001 (ex SOO # 6622) switches the riverfront in East St Louis, IL in front of the Cargill elevator.
The Cumberland Shop switcher is busy on this July 1987 night shuffling units in and out of the roundhouse. I watched a few units go in with their Chessie number, only to come out with their new CSX number. I guess I should have checked the dumpster...

Almost anyway, I was shooting in the harbor of Halmstad and found this switch.

My best guess is that this switch is for a damage control / fire-fighting pump.

This is the light switch panel on the landing of the floor where I've been living. Each switch controls one of four lights nearby. Clockwise from the left these are: 1.hallway, 2.landing, 3.tracklighting, 4.stairway. Guess which switches correspond to which lights?

You can't even deduce the order by comparing which switches are up with which lights are on because some of the lights are controlled by more than one switch in the house. When I took this photo, the stairway light was off even though the switch is up. Were I to flick the switch at the bottom of the stairs, then 'up' would become 'on' again.
I've been living in this house for about 8 months and STILL can't instinctively turn on the right switch when I come home.
This video shows the relays under dim lighting. You can see the arcs more clearly.
I noted that the relay having the diode parallel to the coil appears to have bigger sparks.
The switching should oscillate at about 4 second time intervals. This video shows that the coils tends to be energised very quickly and so the dc motor cannot switch rotation directions. At times, you can see that the relay switches on and off in time intervals of about 2 seconds but when the coil is de-energised in this 2 second, the dc motor does not turn the opposite direction and it stalls instead.
