White plastic light switches, probably installed when the Coach house was converted to a home, in 1968. Though they look a little more modern so possibly updated in the 1990's with a rewire. The fusebox looks more modern than 1968
This was a very fun day at fourfeilds, which recently got torn down =( but quillen was so close to landing this switch heel. He actually had a really bad sunburn haha
One of the many long hallways at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. The layers of paint on the walls ALL feel as though they deserve their time to shine as layers peel away.
Looking south-east towards the center of High Springs on the last remaining stretch of the Atlantic Coast Line run between Alachua and Live Oak. Branching off to the left is a siding that rejoins the main track a little further up behind where I'm standing. Curving off to the right is the track to Newberry, also ex-Atlantic Coast Line and also ex-CSX since being taken over by the Florida Northern Railroad. The disused siding branching off to the right with the derelict Chessie System car on it continues parallel to the main track some distance, although overgrown, almost to the Golden Peanut Company, which is in the distance to the right of the track (peanut truck just visible in the distance) almost in the center of High Springs. Locos taking freight to or from Prime Conduit 1.75 miles in the distance must come up the track to where I'm standing to switch onto the Newberry line and the rest of the Florida Northern track and ultimately to connect with CSX. The High Springs branch was entirely devoid of motive power on this particular day - the tell-tale position of the points shows the loco usually working this track had gone off to Newberry.
I don't know anything about this TrackMobile, but it was hard at work, switching tank cars. There were at least 2 on the property. I wonder if they are ever double headed?
This is a photograph from the first round of the Mullingar Road League which was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 7th May 2014 at 20:00. The race follows the roads and trails around Belvedere and is a very testing 5KM route. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 4 races in May (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league. Over 350 people took part in tonight's event. The weather was positively wintry with a very cold wind in the face of runners for the 1KM and the final KM of the race.

We use Creative Commons Licensing for these photographs
We use the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License for all our photographs here in this photograph set. What does this mean in reality?
The explaination is very simple.
Attribution- anyone using our photographs gives us an appropriate credit for it. This ensures that people aren't taking our photographs and passing them off as their own. This usually just mean putting a link to our photographs somewhere on your website, blog, or Facebook where other people can see it.
ShareAlike – anyone can use these photographs, and make changes if they like, or incorporate them into a bigger project, but they must make those changes available back to the community under the same terms.
Creative Commons aims to encourage creative sharing. See some examples of Creative Commons photographs on Flickr: www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.
Don't like your photograph here?
That's OK! We understand!
If, for any reason, you are not happy or comfortable with your picture appearing here in this photoset on Flickr then please email us at petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com and we will remove it as soon as possible. We give careful consideration to each photograph before uploading.
I want to tell people about these great photographs!
Great! Thank you! The best link to spread the word around is probably http://www.flickr.com/peterm7/sets
This is a nice solution for Ethernet switches. It runs off of the power in the back of the input file.
All of the light switches - whether in my hotel or in the office - are toggle switches. But unlike in the USA, you have to flip them down to turn on the lights (opposite of what I'm used to back home). In the hotel, the lights will only work after I insert the keycard into the "magic slot"
Parking in England always seemed like a problem, but as it turns out, there is a solution.
Unfortunately, not many people seem to have switched on to the solution.
Built in 1949 for the Chesepeake & Ohio. After being retired by Chessie System, it wound up in the Muskegon Railroad Historical Society's collection. After the track realignment in Muskegon, the groups remaining equipment was moved to the Coopersville & Marne Railway. #5208 is stored in the former Delphi plant and is not acessable to the public. Special permission was obtained by the CPMY mechanical department to go in and inspect it. It's missing a lot of parts, but it's in good shape. Money permitting, it might run again someday. No, its not for sale.
With the bag closure switched to a swift-style corner hook arrangement. This one is slightly different in that the hooks are at a 45° angle and the side-facing part of the cord comes down at pretty much 90°
(what you can't see is that I took the lining out because it's just a teeny bit too big; I need to sew another xpac lining for this bag & use the existing lining for a as-yet-unmade 9x8.5x8.5 bag.)

A switch panel found inside the kitchen of the Buckner Building. It would appear that an electrician is needed to make this work again.
--A bit of building info--
Once the largest building in Alaska, it was built by the military to house nearly every resident of the port town of Whittier, Alaska. It was designed to be a "city under one roof" and includes everything a "normal" city would have; Theater, Medical Ward, Cafeteria, Staterooms, and of course a jail... The town of Whittier is built around the ice-free port that houses more boats than it does people. Boasting a population of less than 300 people, Whittier is a modern day ghost town. In 1964 a 9.2 magnitude earthquake ripped the small city apart, killing 14 people and deeming the Buckner building unsafe.
Laced with asbestos, mold, mildew and various walking hazards, the building has remained an abandoned wasteland. All 5 floors are flooded from the melting of Whittier's average 253" of snow, leaving all floors an ice skating rink in the winter. Calcium deposits hang from the ceiling in the form of stalactites, graffiti and spray paint cover most of the walls, and almost every room has been hit with some form of a bat or axe.

These are parts of the switch control system for the little hump yard in Springfield yard. They are variable resistors for all of the switches that can be thrown by the operator in the hump tower.
In 1998 we began implementing the decision to switch from traditional to sustainable agriculture, a system which favours the use of natural alternatives to fertilize, prevent and control pests, diseases and weeds. This is a comprehensive agricultural system that works hand-in-hand with clean and healthy environment policies.
The idea is to avoid as much as we can the use of non-natural elements, through the use of geese, sheep, insects and plants. The environment becomes a self regulating system, and our fruit is cultivated in a cleaner and healthier way.

Seaboard Coast Line EMD SW9 switch engine # 196 along with a yard slug # 3007, are seen passing by in Savannah, Georgia, December 1975. The yard slug # 3007 was originally an Erie Lackawanna Baldwin DS44-1000 switch engine # 614, prior to rebuilding as a yard slug. Notice the spark arrestor's applied to the locomotive's exhaust stacks.
