A random snapshot of the switch frog on the former Mississippi Central Railroad, now Canadian National Railway's Central Subdivision at the abandoned Walmart Distribution Center spur track in Brookhaven, Mississippi that was never in service for Walmart decided to use its large fleet of big box trailer semi trucks instead... what a waste.

Canadian National Railway's Central Subdivision was a part of the former Mississippi Central Railroad's main line that ran in-between Natchez and Hattiesburg.

The sun touches my dimmer switch - possibly out of curiosity, pity or envy.

SCL EMD SW9 switcher # 184 (former ACL locomotive), with it's engineer in the cab, is preparing to depart with the recently arrived Amtrak Champion from the station platform to the SCL (former ACL) railroad yard in Saint Petersburg, Florida, during 1973. The Champion is being led by an Amtrak EMD E8 locomotive # 223 (former RF&P locomotive) and with two more E-units following. The gentleman to the left on the platform by the E8 locomotive is Mr. Kilpatrick, the Station Master, talking with other railroad employees. This station was opened by ACL back in 1963, after the railroad moved out of their old downtown station that was located on First Avenue South between Second and Third Street.

Providing a splash of color in a cement grey world, a Maryland Midland crew switches cement hoppers at the Lehigh Portland Cement plant in Union Bridge, Maryland. Lehigh is the small railroad's largest customer.

The conductor has protected the shove across this busy road and walks ahead into the little yard here for the next move. As the well-worn hopper attests, ag products are the lifeblood of this prairie shortline. Renville, MN, August 26, 2023.

The switches work, the volume and tone don't - it's always on '10'. The duct tape is functional, as the pickguard has a corner broken off. Careful unplugging is paramount.

There were also some screws and nails in this guitar that didn't belong there - the strap for example; attaches to a random screw.

It's pretty banged up, though not intentionally reliced. Proper wear 'n tear 'n abuse FTW!

This is the main on-off switch before rewiring. The flex (left) had been replaced before (and the person that did it didn't think to connect up earth) but the old original wire is in a sorry state (and probably not safe).
