Fully Charged Live 2021 (aka Fully Charged Outside) was the latest event to be held at the Farnborough International site in Farnborough, Hants. The three-day event hosted a huge selection of electric vehicles including two PSV products. There was also an internal Park & Ride bus service operating using 8 buses over the course of the event with the addition of an occasional trip to Farnborough (Main) railway station.
I visited on the overcast Saturday and returned on the sunny Sunday. For the record, buses seen were:

One of McGill's brand new Yutong E12's leaving Braehead on a 26 service to Nethercraigs. McGill's have an order for 55 Yutong E12 electric buses (plus one ADL/BYD E200EV) with I5001 (SG71 MXH) one of the first to enter service.
A classic NdeM switch lock is still protecting the switch at the junction between the línea FA mainline and the branch to the coastal town of Progreso, which has been abandoned for over 25 years. The rails were removed on the northern part of the line long ago, but a few sections remain mostly intact within Mérida city limits.
A local picks up a string of hoppers from an industry. Unfortunately, due to the location of the switch and the length of the train, the north switch at Brighton is blocked, preventing the coal empty on the siding from being able to continue north.

It's always fun to follow a line for the first time. I had never travelled with the Morris Sub or shot anything on it. Of course that also can mean some lost shots and confusion. Thankfully NTWLAU was maintaining a modest that allowed me to scope things out a little in advance.
Another great thing about going west is how many elevators have their own locomotives and they are often pretty easy to get a picture of. Lettered for United Farmers Co-op I haven't been able to determine the history of this switcher. You can tell it's lived some life, with a bent pilot and bent handrails. Murdock, MN, June 27, 2025.
Switching the local industries in Flagstaff, AZ. Side NOTE: In front of the BNSF Locomotive is the remains of a switch that swing off to the right.
That serve the now gone Lumber Mill.
PO-3 with MEC 606 hooks up to some empties at Dead River in Westbrook. They will pick up five empties from the unloading area as well as four more on the passing track behind me. They will spot the five loads they brought in from Rigby.

Finally got around to painting this boy. Tan resin is difficult to photograph in natural light, but he is a really nice color!
The frame cars up front on 224 make for an interesting perspective as the train snakes through (under the careful had of a friendly engineer) the switch out of the siding at Robertson.

Switching one of the Facilities close the the yard located near Virginia Avenue in North Charleston. Interesting catch of a GP20 and GP16. GP20 #2008 appears to have been built as an EMD GP20 demonstrator EMDX #5626 While #2003 is an ex SAL GP16,

A new arrival to the Waterloo switch engine mix is CN4903 which appeared in the past few weeks. Here she is coming back from switching Hydrite This approximately one mile long spur is the old Waterloo RR, which was originally the WCF&N trolley line to Denver, IA and onward to the end of the line in Waverly, Iowa. The line is now terminated at Alter steel on the North side of Airline Hwy.

I couldn't tell what model this switcher is but it serves the Cargill grain elevator complex in Gilman, Illinois, adjacent to the Chicago Subdivision of Canadian National.
‘Scene at EUROBUS EXPO 2022 /6
on Dennis Basford’s railsroadsrunways.blogspot.co.uk’
At the end of EUROBUS EXPO 2019, I said in my closing blog;
“All being well, I will be back at the NEC next year”.
We all now know that due to the Covid 19 pandemic the years 2020 and 2021 would not see the annual Busfest at the NEC .
However, I am pleased to say that it is back with a bang this year.
This, then, is the sixth of a series of blogs where I pick out what caught my eye at 2022’s show.
‘Optare’, the British bus manufacturer had its origins in ‘Charles H. Roe’ of Leeds.
After a number of changes in location and structure, the company became part of ‘Ashok-Leyland’, which is part of the Indian ‘Hinduja Group’.
To reflect the company’s intention of phasing out diesel engines in favour of electric propulsion a further name change to ‘SWITCH Mobility Ltd’ took place in 2021.
All current production is now badged as ‘SWITCH’.
This demonstrator is built with left hand drive and the rear body styling is a bit unusual but the standard of finish looked excellent.
Burlington Northern Railroad Shop Switcher at West Burlington, Iowa on October 22, 1983, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. This is pretty self-explanatory. The BN modified an EMD SD-series truck to move dead locomotives around the shop. By plugging into a convenient DC outlet ( note the coiled extension cord ) the switcher could move a locomotive from one location to another within the range of the power cable.
I love this doll a lot!
I suddenly went out with her because I had to take outside pics of her like right now.
She now needs white eyelashes (but I suck so much at glueing eyelashes T.T)
