Fascinating catch of an ex Baltimore and Ohio GP40. North Carolina Virginia was switching Georgia Pacific. Seen here they are just pulling onto the main line. The locomotive still carries the paint of Arizona and California Railroad which is also a Genesse and Wyoming holding that was formerly part of the Santa Fe Railway. It is now listed as a GP38-3.

A blue SD60 shoves some boxcars into one of the many warehouses in the Humboldt Industrial park, located on the southwest side of Hazleton.
A 3D printer would make this a lot easier... I just haven't had the time to build these crossing pieces (aqua) by hand. I'll hopefully have these assembled by the time Fx Bricks' P40 switches are released so i can also attempt to make 9V-compatible versions.
This mockup was done in Stud.io and is based on BrickTracks' R104 switch files.
The Switch Mobility e1 bus on display on November 1st 2022 at the 2022 Euro Bus Expo held at the National Exhibition Centre. The bus was left hand drive with three doors.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening in an old print room, been a while!! Good to be back in the elements. Capped and lens swapped single exposure, with a pleasing line up, although the colour palate leaves a minging taste in my mouth. No time for a rejig - MITZ4138.
Marquette Rail's Z151 switches Van's Logistics on their way north out of Grand Rapids. To the right of the train is the former Pennsylvania RR right of way, which parallels the MQT (former Pere Marquette) north to Comstock Park. A pair of ex CP SD40-2s and a former B&O GP38 provide the power on this day.

With the lead unit, GP9 109 tucked away on a house track, SD40-2 262 pulls the Friday Helena Switch into the siding at Townsend. The 262 will be dropped off here for work train duty, and the 109 will run solo back with Helena with the train.
Norfolk Southern H02 is switching Mennen Products in Morris Plains, NJ. This customer has subsequently closed and the factory has been demolished,
The Burns Harbor Railroad switches the Port of Indiana in Burns Harbor, IN with a pair of GMTX GP38-2s.

NS local V83 is switching the team tracks at Waynesboro. Covered hoppers loaded with plastic pellets are transferred to trucks here.

Its time to put those thinking lights on and bury my head in the books so rich with knowledge and full of learning. I have been so lifted from the comments you sweet caring people made on my previous photo that i just couldn't resist to upload today! Couldn't thank you all personally but I'm seriously so happy to meet so many wonderful people here. You guys know who you are. The support here really touched me and I'm still here, and will continue to try as this is my outlet and my inspirations come to life through taking this journey. Going to Uni and being a Mum at the same time is hard work 'big sigh' Not sure what i can handle at the moment so will just take things one day at a time.....

A pair of geeps leading the local NS LF14 does some switching duties at the Cargill Salt Incorporation on the old GR&IRR.
Taken just down the street from my house and childhood home, the old GR&I Railroad was my playground and second home for most of my youth. My friends and I used to do 25 miles round trip hikes and camped right along this railroad all the time. As a long time insulator collector of 48 years, it was the very first railroad that I found insulators along a railroad when they took the pole line down in 1971. That's when we did the long hikes getting all the glass insulators we could carry. I could tell you so many wild stories we did as kids along this railroad, but I will leave that to your imagination.
The Grand Rapids & Indiana Railroad later (Pennsylvania Railroad) ran from Cincinnati, Ohio to Mackinaw City, Michigan and was called "The Fishing Line" railroad, noted for their vacation passenger service to serve all the fishing resorts along its line, especially in northern Michigan. The line in Indiana was abandoned in piecemeal between 1979 and 1982, with just small sections used for short line railroads, and used as an industrial track in Fort Wayne, Indiana to serve a few companies. Michigan saw the same fate for this railroad.

One of the many great things about short line railroads is that many of them have not replaced these massive station name signs. Class 1 railroads often seem to replace these with smaller signs at either end of the station (or siding). But, not the case here in Holyoke, CO as a westbound manifest actually makes a reverse move to the east by the sign on the main track. If you look beneath the Holyoke sign, you can see the conductor, riding on the rear boxcar, protecting the reverse move back toward the remainder of the train.
